— Adam to Klein Moretti on Lord of Mysteries, Chapter 1149 |
The World War was an international conflict that embroiled all of the nations of Northern Continent.
The term is reserved for the conflict that occurred during 1350-1352 of the Fifth Epoch.
Objectives[]
The war was pushed by various factors:
- The Loen Kingdom and Feysac Empire already had many conflicts regarding the lost war (Twenty-Year War) and Balam colonies.
- The royal family of Loen, the Augustus Family, needed this war to draw citizens' attention from the more-and-more-intense domestic conflicts such as the drastic gap between the poor and the rich, the conflict between New Party and Conservative Party, etc.
- King George Augustus III wanted to hold the ritual for promoting to Sequence 0 Black Emperor of the Black Emperor Pathway during the war, which required citizens across the country to attend this ritual.[1]
- The Einhorn Family of Feysac, who wields the Red Priest Pathway which focuses on war, can use this war to allow their key members to significantly digest their potions and, without much difficulty, they could prepare the corresponding rituals and allow their family’s overall strength to be enhanced.[2]
The nature of this war was, in fact, a war between Gods, as "They" were trying to weaken the enemies by destabilizing "Their" anchors.[3]
- With the Apocalypse approaching, the barrier weakening, and the remnant will of the Original Creator fading, the Sequence 0 deities began making moves to promote and become Above the Sequence entities.[4]
- The Evernight Goddess acquired the Uniqueness of the Death Pathway[5]. Expecting a retaliation from the God of Combat, "She" set up this war as a trap to kill "Him".[6] This could be seen from the Church of the Evernight Goddess's attitude towards the Loen declaration of war against Feysac.
- The Church of the God of Combat got the news that the Evernight Goddess had obtained the Uniqueness of Death Pathway. The God of Combat, being in the same pathway group as the Evernight Goddess, would try to shake "Her" anchor through this war before attacking "Her".
- Adam pushed this war as the trend of the era, to complete his advancement ritual to promote to Sequence 0 Visionary of the Visionary Pathway.
History[]
The Outbreak of War[]

In October 1350, the Feysac Empire attacked the capital of the Loen Kingdom, Backlund. On the same night, their Sonia Sea fleet attacked the Loen Imperial Navy's main base in Oak Island. The next day, Loen Kingdom declared the war on the Feysac Empire.[7]
Feysac and Loen's battle focused on three locations:
- The Amantha Mountain range in Winter County, where the headquarters of the Church of the Evernight Goddess and the Church of Serenity are located.
- Heavy-industrial cities on the east coast of Midseashire.
- The important harbors along the Sonia Sea.
Additionally, Feysac and Loen's colonial army in East Balam also began battling.
Sometime later, Feynapotter joined the war and invaded Lenburg.[8] Ever since then, the power balance was broken. Loen, and Lenburg, Masin, and Segar lost most of their territory and became on the verge of losing.
After the assassination of George Augustus III, the Loen Kingdom accused the assassin of being from either Feysac or Intis.[9] Subsequently, Intis Republic used the excuse of conflicts in the borders of the Hornacis Mountain Range to amass a large number of troops and attack the Loen Kingdom.[10]
The Church of the Evernight Goddess successfully withstood the Feysac army in the Amantha Mountain range, and the Church of the Lord of Storms along with the navy withstood the Feysac and Feynapotter navy in Sonia Sea. However, Feysac successfully defeated the Midseashire army and invaded Belltaine City and occupied Constant City. They then invaded Loen all the way to Backlund and met with the Intis army.[11]
In the fall of 1351, the Resistance of Rorsted Archipelago negotiated with the Church of the Lord of Storms and the Military to take control of Rorsted Archipelago,[12] so that the church and the military could transfer more people to aid the main battlefield in Loen.
Battle of Gods[]

— Audrey Hall on Lord of Mysteries, Chapter 1249 |
In January 1352, the Battle between Gods started. The Evernight Goddess fought against the God of Combat and the Earth Mother in the skies above Backlund. The God of Knowledge and Wisdom fought against the Eternal Blazing Sun in the capital of Lenburg. The Lord of Storms fought against the God of Steam and Machinery in Bayam.[13]
The God of Combat fell during his fight with the Evernight Goddess after being backstabbed by the Earth Mother. The World War officially ended with this event.[14]
Aftermath[]
- Among the countries of the Northern Continent, the Loen Kingdom reaped most benefits and won the war.[6]
- The military might of the Feysac Empire dropped to fourth place, while the Feynapotter Kingdom rose to third place, with the Intis Republic in second place and the Loen Kingdom in first.[15]
- The Church of the Evernight Goddess began its discreet takeover of the Church of the God of Combat.[16]
- The Church of the God of Steam and Machinery lost their standing in the Loen Kingdom. They had to transfer all their Grade 2 and above Sealed Artifacts out of Loen to the Intis Republic.[17]
- The royal family of the Feysac Empire, the Einhorn Family, lost their Sequence 1 Conqueror Beyonder characteristic of the Red Priest Pathway.[18]
- The God of Combat fell at the hands of the Evernight Goddess and the Earth Mother, who was revealed to be Lilith.
- The Evernight Goddess obtained the Uniqueness of the Twilight Giant Pathway.
- The Earth Mother obtained the Uniqueness of the Moon Pathway.
- King of Angels Adam promoted to Sequence 0 Visionary of the Visionary Pathway.[14]
- The intrusion of the Outer Deities into the world deepened. Many cults and secret organizations following them began appearing as a result.[19]
