“ | We, the Abraham Family, were one of the most powerful nobles of the Fourth Epoch, and we were the main supporters of the Tudor Dynasty. In that era, be it Loen’s Augustus Family, Feysac’s Einhorn Family, Intis’s Sauron Family, or Feynapotter’s Castiya Family, all of them looked up to us. |

— From an Abraham Family member's diary on Lord of Mysteries, Chapter 336 |
The Abraham Family was a powerful aristocratic family of the Tudor Empire during the Fourth Epoch. They control the Door Pathway.
History[]
They were once nobles of the Solomon Empire, which ruled the Northern Continent under the Black Emperor Solomon. "He" was supported by multiple angel families and by the True Creator. The high nobles at that time (i.e. families with dukes) included the Zoroast, Abraham, and Zaratul families, plus the Medici family and Ouroboros.
Their ancestor, Bethel Abraham, also called 'Mr. Door', was a King of Angels of the Door Pathway, and was recognized as the angel who had the highest possibility to become a deity in the Warring Era. Despite the family's apparent high standing in the Solomon Empire, "He", along with the Abraham Family, turned to the Alista Tudor's side after the fall of the Black Emperor and the Solomon Empire. . They supported the establishment of the Tudor-Trunsoest United Empire.
After the collapse of the Tudor-Trunsoest United Empire, Abraham, Antigonus, Amon, Jacob, and Tamara were the five great families that supported the establishment of the Tudor Empire, and they were second only to the Blood Emperor.[1]
In the War of the Four Emperors, the family's ancestor, Bethel Abraham went missing. The remaining High-Sequence Beyonders in the family all perished.[2]
After the Blood Emperor perished in the War of the Four Emperors, the angel families of the Tudor Empire, including the Abraham Family fell from the top of their pedestals and were hunted by the Seven Deities.
Bloodline Curse[]
Since then, the Abraham Family has been under a terrible curse. They started to suffer from unknown, terrifying ravings which made advancing to high sequences nigh impossible. Generations after generations of ancestors attempted to revive the family, but without exception, all of them went mad and lost control.
Because of this, they started training people outside of their family to eventually stop the ravings, yet this backfired when those people started to eye the Sealed Artifacts of the family. Some of the Beyonders who stole their artifacts joined the True Creator. The main traitor was Botis, a Traveler who stole the Grade 0 Sealed Artifact, Box of the Great Old Ones and advanced to Sequence 4 with the help of the True Creator. He became a Saint of the Aurora Order.
Afterward, the family separated so as to not affect other family members. As a result of the ravings, many members chose not to become Beyonders and risk losing control. The family has therefore been continuously declining in power and influence.[2] However, as a former angel family with a long history, they still had quite a bit of resources, including land, tree farms, property, manors and mines, albeit divided among various branch families.[3] Moreover, they still possessed two Grade 0 Sealed Artifacts corresponding to Sequence 2 of the Door Pathway.[4]
Sights in the Spirit World[]
Sights in the Spirit World was written by a certain ancestor of the Abraham Family. He recorded in it all the strange and wonderful things that happened when he traveled through the spirit world. It talks about the Great White Brotherhood and his encounter with the Yellow Light Venithan. He also mentioned the curse of the Abraham Family.
The solution was in the future, in the hands of an Apprentice who was assisted by a hidden existence. [...] The day the curse was lifted was the beginning of the Abraham family’s true doom.
Bloodline Curse Removed[]
Klein Moretti later discovered that the origin of the curse was their ancestor himself. Bethel Abraham had been banished to an isolated space of storms and darkness by the Evernight Goddess and the Lord of Storms in the War of the Four Emperors. "His" constant pleas for help were what was making "His" descendants go mad.
Gehrman Sparrow gave Dorian Gray Abraham a way to temporary lift the curse by changing his faith to Mr. Fool.[5] Later, many members of the family also changed their faith to Mr. Fool.
After learning the truth of the curse from Fors Wall as well as the way to solve it,[6] Verdu Garcia, a member of the Abraham Family, decided to help Mr. Door return to the real world. He was tricked by Medici and Amon to hold a ritual to let Mr. Door out of his banishment.[7] However, Mr. Door gave up his life to Amon.[8] Amon sent Mr. Door's Beyonder Characteristics back to the Abraham Family.[9] With the death of Mr. Door, the curse of the Abraham Family finally came to an end.
