The Antigonus Family was a powerful aristocratic family of the Tudor Empire during the Fourth Epoch. They control the Fool Pathway.

History

Their founder and ancestor, Antigonus, is a descendant of the Demonic Wolf Flegrea and brother of Mother of the Sky.

The Antigonus Family was once an angel family of the Solomon Empire in the early Fourth Epoch. Despite the family's apparent high standing in the Solomon Empire, at some point, their ancestor, Antigonus made a secret transaction with Alista Tudor and eventually went over to the Blood Emperor's side after the fall of the Black Emperor and the Solomon Empire. They supported the establishment of the Tudor-Trunsoest United Empire.

After the collapse of the Tudor-Trunsoest United Empire, Abraham, Antigonus, Amon, Jacob, and Tamara were the five great families that supported the establishment of the Tudor Empire, and they were second only to the Blood Emperor.

After the Blood Emperor perished in the War of the Four Emperors, the angel families of the Tudor Empire, including the Antigonus Family fell from the top of their pedestals and were hunted by the Seven Deities. The Antigonus Family was later destroyed by the Church of the Evernight Goddess. Their ancestor went mad and was sealed in the Foggy Town on top of the Hornacis Mountain Range by the Evernight Goddess.

During Klein's adventure in Foggy Town, he witnessed a group of transparent maggots that he suspected to be the mad angel of the Antigonus Family. The suspicion turned out to be true as the transparent maggots were indeed Antigonus who had turned to a monster because "He" was unable to suppress the will of The Celestial Worthy of Heaven and Earth.

The last of their descendants perished with the deaths of Ray Bieber and his mother.

Trivia

• During the Solomon Empire in the Fourth Epoch, although the Antigonus Family was considered an illustrious part of the aristocracy, they didn't do anything very memorable until they supported the establishment of the Tudor Empire. They then stood right in the middle of the stage of the Northern Continent.
• Two adjectives that appear repeatedly in the descriptions of the Antigonus Family are "strange" and "terrifying." This references to their powers as Beyonders of the Fool Pathway.
