Cuttlefish's Answers to some of the comments on his posts and updates on WeChat

Questions in no particular order. Translation by Windvalley

Q&A[]

Question 1[]

Comment: The one who started a conversation with Klein and Sharron, and requested a deal/trade, was it Einhorn or Sauron?

What do Einhorn and Sauron look like? Their hair, and eye colors?

When 0-08 controlled Ince to release Medici, was the blood of the descendant of the Three Red Priest Pathway Families ever used in the releasing process?

Cuttlefish: *Monocle Emoji* Take a guess :D

Question 2[]

Comment: Can I use the sequence and pathway setting for my own fan fiction? I feel I really really love power settings of this kind!

Cuttlefish: If you straight up move the setting to your book, that's fan fiction :D. But you can add or subtract sequences, change up the names, and change up the power structure and elements (magic instead of spirit as the mana pool for example). Then it becomes your own novel's settings XD. For example, make a sequence called Environmentalist, Bartender, etc.

Question 3[]

Comment: Cuttlefish-sama, I want to ask for everyone. Lilith is Sequence 0 of the Moon Pathway, but then there is also a god mentioned called the Goddess of Beauty Auernia, but later it is said that Auernia is Sequence 1? Why do they both exist at the same time? Is it a bug or is there another hidden reason?

Cuttlefish: Because the characteristics of the Ancient Gods are not pure. For example, one of Lilith's three Sequence 1 characteristics might be not of the Moon Pathway, but of another Pathway. This is also why pretty much 99% of the Ancient God's logic and reasoning abilities have some...issues.

Question 4[]

(In regards to the Tarot Cards and their corresponding characters)

Comment:...wait a second! Didn't you say some cards representing characters will only be introduced in the next book?

Cuttlefish: I am lining up the representatives for book 1 first. Look at the list, Strength (Colin) has died, thus obviously, in the next book it will need a new individual.

Question 5[]

Comment: Mmh, so Tamara and Jacob's Ancestors are both male? What Pathway is Tamara Family known for in the end?

Cuttlefish: Yes, they are both males. Originally The Tamara Family were Justiciar Pathway, later on, they became Door Pathway.

Question 6[]

Comment: Cuttlefish-sama, you stated in your "complete sequence and pathway list" that:

Calamity of Destruction, The Original Calamity

An Outer God or Dominator that is a tier lower (Wind: than what? Since this is the only time Cuttlefish clearly stated "a tier lower", I'm assuming he meant lower than most of the Outer Deities representing the 22 pathways like Father of Devils for example). It belongs to "Eternal Darkness, Singularity of All, One in All Time and Space", it is that "other half" or "the rest of it", that should not be merged unless one wants to bring about the end of the entire universe.

What does "An Outer God or Dominator that is a tier lower" mean?

Cuttlefish: The Pillars of Origin (Wind: Actual term he used) are "The First Tier". Every other Outer Deities and The Old Ones are "A Tier Lower". In this context, "Every Other Outer Deities" is comparatively equivalent to "The Old Ones", meaning:

  • First Tier: The Pillars of Origin
  • Second Tier: Every Other Outer Deities, The Old Ones (Every Other Outer Deities = The Old Ones)

^(Wind: TL;DR, Calamity of Destruction is tier two aka a tier lower)

Question 7[]

Comment: Cuttlefish, in the future, will you release the remaining unknown potion formulas and rituals for each sequence?

Cuttlefish: Yes, I will.

Question 8[]

(In regards to Demoness Pathway Info Sequence 9 to 7)

Comment: We know that male who chose this pathway has to act as Demoness but never lose their male identity, a twisted form of existence. If a female chooses this pathway, will they lose control in a later sequence because they have no "male self-identity" that they have to "maintain"?

Cuttlefish: Females won't lose control since they only need to remember their "female self-identity". (So it's safer for females to become Demoness).

Question 9[]

Comment: Lilith's "Sanguine Ancestor" title. Is it saying that all Sanguines are "Her" offspring related by blood (Natural birth process)? Or is it saying that all Sanguines are created by "Her" using Beyonder abilities, like in the story of Frankenstein monster? Or are Sanguines just her underlings/subordinates that "She" cultivated to work for "Her", similar to official Beyonders of the Orthodox Churches, with the only difference being these Sanguines were only given Moon Pathway potions from top to bottom?

Cuttlefish: The first scenario. But to be honest, There's nothing "Natural" about that birth process/That process is a bit too far-fetched to be called "Natural".

Question 10[]

Comment: How many cats do you actually have?

Cuttlefish: Two.

Question 11[]

Comment: Cuttlefish, will there be an ending for the Wechat Side Story? After that will you write the "story/piece of history of the 4th Epoch" that you mentioned in the After Words?

Cuttlefish: Depending on the situation

Question 12[]

Comment: Medici, Solomon, Abraham, Zoroaster, these names that are even famous before the First Epoch during our era. How many of those names were named by the Ancient Sun God?

Cuttlefish: Some of them.

Question 13[]

Comment: In Civilization 5's term, Do savants have the same function and ability as Great Scientists or Great Engineers?

Cuttlefish:: Savants are both at the same time. (Wind: Great Scientist: Instantly discovers and grants your civ a technology. It also greatly shortens the technology research timer. Great Engineer: Speed up production of anything. Create grand scale infrastructures and Quality of Life Improvements.)

Question 14[]

Comment: Mr. Azik, was he born a human or a feathered snake?

Cuttlefish: He's a little feathered snake at birth.

Question 15[]

Comment: When Amon was born, was he a human or a raven?

Cuttlefish: Raven is just one of the Forms of Amon that "He" (Amon) really liked. (Wind: No revelation on how Amon is born or what Amon is at birth.)

Question 16[]

Comment: I have 3 questions that have been bugging me since the end of Volume 7 (English volume 8).

  1. Ancient Sun God, Adam, Sasrir. Are they basically equivalent in concept to The Father, The Son, and The Spirit - The Holy Trinity's type of relationship? In other words, these 3 existences have always been one, but at the same time they also separately have their own, independent "Self"?
  2. So because of question 1, when ASG fell from grace, Adam was never murdered, possessed, or replaced by ASG. But rather, Adam was "Awakened" (the actual word used in the novel), am I right?
  3. In the Third Epoch, Adam has knowledge brought to him by the Uniqueness of the Visionary Pathway. That means he should, at the time, have become aware of the Special Qualities and Abilities of The Visionary Pathway. Did he find out and realize all through his efforts that he is a clone/double of ASG?

Cuttlefish: I am not in a convenient position to answer this question. (Wind: The context is vague, I don't know if Cuttlefish is not answering due to him being away and not on his computer so he doesn't want to text a text wall using his phone, because at the time he stated he was out on a trip. Or he actually was not allowed or had difficulty answering this question due to certain limitations).

Question 17[]

Comment: Cuttlefish Cuttlefish, when Evernight Goddess just got released out of the cocoons in Sefirah Castle, was she a human or a demonic wolf?!

Cuttlefish: Demonic Wolf.

Question 18[]

Comment: Now Moon is no longer managed by Evernight Goddess, Can her believers still use silver to set up rituals pointing to her? In other words, currently, from an Astrology perspective, is The Moon still pointing to The Evernight Goddess?

Cuttlefish: For the current moment, Evernight Goddess still corresponds to The Moon, despite already giving The Moon to Lilith. (Wind: I'm guessing it's due to the collective consciousness of the vast majority of the Believers, still takes time to adjust to the new correspondence aka The Stars?).

Question 19[]

Comment: Does this mean The Sun Pathway forces the Beyonder to become a male? (Wind: I don't know where he get that idea from...)

Cuttlefish: No, it won't.

Question 20[]

Comment: There has been a continuous debate in the fan base about whether the Mythical Creature Form can be changed. The Phoenix Ancestor Gregrace should have been a phoenix in ancient times. And it was only after Salinger became Death that it turned into a feathered serpent. But some people say that the form of mythical creatures cannot be changed and that it has always been a feathered serpent since ancient times. I would like to ask the author's opinion.

Cuttlefish: Sequence 0 can change the mythical creature form of their Pathway.

Question 21[]

Comment: Hi, Cuttlefish. Rafter Pound's model has brown hair and blue eyes. Is the ancestor Alista Tudor also brown-haired and blue-eyed?

Cuttlefish: Alista's eyes are blue, and the hair was originally brown, but later became fiery red.

Question 22[]

Comment: Hi Cuttlefish, because I'm recently planning to write a long fanfiction of LoM, I have some questions regarding character models.

  1. When Ancient Sun God was a researcher, how tall was he? Did his height change when he came out of Chernobyl?
  2. Medici and Amon, approximately how tall are they? (human form)
  3. How handsome/how does Sasrir look? he always covers his face with shadow in the book...

Cuttlefish: ASG belongs to the relatively tall category, about 190 cm or 6.23 feet. Medici is about the same height as ASG only slightly shorter than ASG. Amon is a little over 180 cm (>5.9 feet). Sasrir is the most beautiful and handsome clone among all of ASG's clones.

Question 23[]

Comment: Hello Cuttlefish, I'm preparing to draw fan works for CP 27 Animecon, but I have no info on some models, so I came up with questions.

  1. What exactly is the eye color of Sasrir? In the book, he changes so many cosmetic contact lenses...I can't discern. The Qidian character portrait for True Creator shows TC has black pupils. As the same pathway, are Sasrir's pupils also black?
  2. Does ASG have black hair during his researcher days? Is his eye color blue, the one common among Russians?

Is Sasrir the most beautiful one among all of ASG's Russian Dolls?

Cuttlefish: 1. Yes, he has black pupils. 2. ASG has blonde hair and blue eyes. 3. Yes he is.

Comment: Sorry I want to confirm one more time, Researcher ASG is blonde? So the black color of his hair is influenced by the Beyonder characteristics?

Cuttlefish: Yes, the black portion of the hair is influenced by characteristics.

Question 24[]

Comment: The Beyonder item created by Cielf June, that "Word of the Sea", does it have really big negative side effect because Cielf wasn't in good physical condition at the time, or was it because Cielf's sequence was too low at the time?

Cuttlefish: It is because Cielf's sequence was too low compared to the Beyonder Characteristics he's using to make the item.

Question 25[]

Comment: What's the difference, or what do Cryptologist and Knowledge Keeper aka Detective lean towards in terms of their focus?

Cuttlefish: Cryptologists lean more towards mysticism than Knowledge Keepers.

Question 26[]

Comment: Can female choose Demoness Pathway? Will they lose control later on for not having a male mentality?

Cuttlefish: They can, and they won't lose control.

Question 27[]

Comment: Will the Sun Pathway that represents Pure Yang energy cause gender change in higher sequences?

Cuttlefish: Nope.

Question 28[]

Comment: You can switch between Adjacent Pathways. If I switch from Death to Darkness Pathway, can I only use Beyonder abilities from Darkness Pathway or both pathways?

Cuttlefish: Whatever accumulated potions aka Beyonder characteristics are within you at the moment are what abilities you can use.

Question 29[]

Comment: What is the real-life inspiration for the three small nations Lenburg, Masin, and Segar?

Cuttlefish: The "Germany" during the "Holy Roman Empire of German Nation" (Sacrum Romanorum Imperium Nationis Germanicae) period (962-1806).

Question 30[]

Comment: If the conditions are right, can Evernight Goddess become the 4th Pillar at any time? And use that as a "nuclear weapon" threat against Outer Deities?

Cuttlefish: No, she cannot. The 4th Pillar cannot be formed unless it is the moment when "the end of the universe“ is right about to be reached. By which point the 4th pillar will converge, form, and cause a reset. (TL Note: not the "Law of Convergence", he just used the verb converge)

Question 31[]

Comment: Where does the power of spirit world creatures without Beyonder characteristics come from? For example, the undead in Lord of Mysteries, like the Red Angel Evil Spirit, had its characteristic removed (e.g., "cooked into a hotpot"), yet its strength still posed a threat to Sequence 5 Beyonders like Sharon and Klein. Why is that?

Cuttlefish: From the Spirit World itself.

Question 32[]

Comment: I want to know the unverified answer to that 'Mad Lady' question, which is what would happen if a Shepherd lost their herding abilities.

Cuttlefish: Their characteristics would erupt, and they'd lose control and go mad.
