Bansy Harbor was a colony occupied by the Loen Kingdom army 300 years ago.[1] Located in the Sonia Sea. It's situated between Damir Harbor and Tiana Port on the Pritz Harbor-Bayam sea route, 120 nautical miles from Damir Harbor.[2] The weather is always unstable, giving rise to the name "Weather Museum" as any type of weather can happen at any time of the day.

300-400 years ago, it was called Binsy Town. Later, due to changing the pronunciation and other factors, it gradually evolved into Bansy.[3]

There are rumor that Bansy Harbor is a place filled with mysticism powers. Its connection with the spirit world and the astral world is beyond imagination.[4]

Background[]

According to the tombs and murals excavated on the island, the natives here seem to have a tradition of cannibalism.

The island experiences intense weather changes, making it often encounter earthquakes, storms, and heavy fog; thus, the natives experience disasters time and time again. In order to survive, they began worshiping a God of Weather they created for themselves. Every year, they would hold four rituals. The rituals involve killing chosen worshippers as they shared in the blood and flesh before burying the worshippers’ heads in the sacrificial altar.

However, this continued until the Church of the Lord of Storms built a cathedral here and sent a bishop. A similar tradition has long since been replaced by the Storm’s sacrificial ritual, and the original language of the natives has also disappeared.[1]

History[]

Volume 2: Faceless[]

The evil spirit in Backlund’s underground relic had once mentioned that one of the founders of Rose Redemption, the former King of Angels, Medici, and his descendants live in Binsy Town, now Bansy Harbor.[5]

Volume 3: Traveler[]

When Klein arrived at Bansy Harbor, an old custom in Bansy Harbor was revived. Some of the inhabitants became heretics, and even a bishop of the Church of the Lord of Storms was corrupted and purified by Klein.[6] Bansy Harbor was leveled by the Church of Storms and has been off-limits since.[7][8]

After the destruction, Alger Wilson visited the place on the Blue Avenger with his crew. After he left, he unknowingly narrowly escaped someone who may have been the possessed Ince Zangwill.[9]

Volume 7: The Hanged Man[]

Verdu Garcia heard a rumor about Bansy Harbor from the pirates. He decided to explore that place to find a way to help Mr. Door. Although he found nothing at the harbor, Verdu heard the Honorific Name of the God of War in his dream.[10]

While Klein's marionette followed Verdu to the Bansy Harbor, he found an ordinary door of the former Telegraph Office; behind the door was a 1900s city like Shanghai. The wooden door would rapidly decayed, turning into a pile of mud once it left Bansy Harbor.[10] Later, Klein suspected that behind the door was the reflection of the Sefirot, the City of Calamity.[11]

Notable Place[]

  • Storm Cathedral (Bishop)
  • Green Lemon Restaurant: The famous restaurant on the island.
  • Bansy Harbor Telegraph Office: A dozen meters away from the Storm Cathedral.

Trivia[]

  • There are two unique customs in Bansy Harbor. One is to close the door tightly on nights with heavy fog or huge changes in weather. They don’t head out or respond to any knocking. The other is that they love the blood of all kinds of animals and have learned from migrating elves to add salt, solidifying the blood which are tender and fragrant when matched with the acrid condiments native to this land.[1]
  • Unlike mainland cities such as Backlund, Tingen, and Pritz Harbor, colonial islands such as Bansy Harbor lacked gas. The lamps lining the two sides of the street were sparse. They had candles caged in glass, waiting to be lit.[12]
