— Colin Iliad on Lord of Mysteries, Chapter 1266 |
Colin's elder brother, Uddel, was the captain of the exploration team that encountered Amon and was locked up for 42 years. After Uddel is revealed as a parasite victim of Amon, Colin had to be the one who killed him because of the curse of the Gift of the Land. Due to the curse, he also had to kill his father, mother, younger sister, oldest son, youngest son, daughter, and oldest grandson.[9]
Colin led many major explorations of the City of Silver, including the suspicious True Creator's Temple, the corrupted Afternoon Town, Elder Hawick's sealed tomb,[10] and finally the mythical Giant King's Court.
He kept his eyes on Derrick after the Amon incident. He was also aware of the abnormality of Elder Lovia and secretly chose to use Derrick to balance her.
Because of the informations they gathered, and the revelations from Derrick, he no longer held hope for the Creator’s return.[9]
After asking instructions from Derrick, Colin prayed for help to Mr. Fool to create 2 Fate Siphon charms from remnant worms of time.[9] In a team with Waite Chirmont and Lovia, Colin raided the former chief Hawick's mausoleum, using a Fate Siphon to prevent Lovia's theft and to personally kill Hawick.[8] He assisted Derrick to obtain Bizzaro Bane (Shapeshifter) blood. Colin also chose to receive the blessing of Mr. Fool, in order to advance to Sequence 3 Silver Knight.[11]
During their last investigation of the Giant King's Court, Gehrman, Colin, Lovia, and Derrick fought against Dark Angel Evil Spirit Sasrir. Colin died trying to restrain Sasrir with mercury liquefication and let Derrick deliver the final blow. His demigod spirit stayed in his corpse for a bit longer and asked Derrick to open the gate. He proclaimed Derrick as a new Elder of the six-member council and revealed to him the curse of the Gift of the Land. He also warned him to not trust the Seven Orthodox Gods too much because he knew the Queen Omebella can't be one of them since she was buried in their city. His spirit then vanished looking at the golden sunshine from the outside world.[12]
By 1358, he alongside Elder Lovia and Derrick are featured on the murals of the Church of the Fool.[13]
During Derrick's advancement ritual to Lightseeker, Colin was recalled by the junior.[14]
Power & Abilities[]
As an Elder and Chief of the City of Silver, he held great observation and management ability to protect and find hope for his homeland. If necessary, he will sacrifice his life for the youths of the City of Silver. He was tough and voluntarily killed his closest people within the Law to protect the City of Silver from external danger. He hid the truth of the Gift of the Land for the safety of the City of Silver. When Elder Lovia Tiffany and youngster Derrick Berg developed behavioral changes that could break the City of Silver's over 2,000 year stalemate environment in the Forsaken Land of the Gods, he tested, trusted and bet on both for the future: he observed tested Lovia for her patriotism and responsibilities as an Elder of the City of Silver, he observed and tested Derrick for his choices and potential against the dangerous Amon and foreigners.
As a Demon Hunter, he was an expert of great experience and held full control over his Mythical Creature Form, a rarity among demigod Beyonders.[8] He was skilled and wrote a "Colin Iliad's Beastiary Notebook". His main combat style was dual wielding his resizable silver colored straight swords. In combat, he used his experience to determine what potions, oils or salves to apply on himself, his swords or his enemies to achieve victory.
As a Silver Knight, due to the difference in the deity’s blessing during advancement ritual, there would be minute differences between them. Colin had received blessings from the Fool. He could occasionally make his body condense a Silver Rapier that could teleport. While in combat, it would appear at random during an attack, with beneficial tendencies, bringing about unpredictable changes.[11]
