Contracted Creatures are the spirit world creatures in a contract. Due to their abilities to travel through the Spirit World, mostly they served as a method of communication between the contractor and the sender/receiver in a secretive manner.

A Contracted Creature can be transferred from one to another, but a contract still has to be signed between the new owner and the creature.[1]

A Contractee of the Eternal Aeon Pathway can form special contracts with spirit world creatures and borrow their abilities.

Find A Contracted Creature[]

According to Azik Eggers, there were two methods for obtaining a Contracted Creature.[2]

  1. The first method is to think of an accurate description, hold a ritual, summon the corresponding spirit world creature, and make a contract with it.
  2. The second method is to directly enter the spirit world and search for a contracted creature. After obtaining its consent, sign a contract with it and then record down the accurate description language for later use.

Summon A Spirit World Creature[]

To summon a creature from Spirit World, one needs to set up a common altar with only one candle to represents oneself and chant a verified incantation. This summoning ritual relies purely on a person’s own spirituality without going through a god.

For the summoning incantation, there are three parts. The first part is ‘I.’ in either ancient Hermes, Jotun, Dragonese, or Elvish. The second part is ‘I summon in my name.’ That part can be said in Hermes. The third part is a three-lined description of the summoning object,[3] which is as follows:

  • First line must include a description that precisely point to the Spirit World, such as "wanders about the unfounded" and "roaming in the upper realm".
  • Second and third lines must be an accurate description of the creature.
  • After the contract is signed, the third line becomes “the messenger that belongs to whomever” or “Contract Companion of whoever”.

Due to the restriction of its format, the summoner cannot use too many words and the ambiguity makes it difficult to predict or divine which creature will be summoned in the end, so it is strongly advised to refer to previously tested and verified incantations to reduce the risk.

In case that the summoner finds the summoned creature unsatisfactory, they can end the ritual with an incantation similar to the summoning incantation (‘I! I end this summoning in my name!’) to send the creature back to the Spirit World, followed by extinguishing the candle. Then, the summoner can restart the ritual with the same altar.

The summoning ritual can be simplified, like how Azik's Messenger can be summoned by blowing the copper whistle.

When summoning creatures from the spirit world will consume the summoner spirituality. The more they summon, the greater the consumption. Every spirit world creature can only stay for a limited period of time after being summoned to reality. The weaker they are, the longer they can stay.[4]

Contract[]

The contract is written in Ancient Hermes, the language which could stir the forces of nature on yellowish-brown goatskin parchment. They contained clauses such as the messenger not being allowed to look at the letter, not discarding the letter, or endangering the life of the contractor. And other contents depend on their persuasion and communication.

To ensure the effectiveness of the contract, its final part requires Death's honorific name (which can be replaced by the description of someone high in the undead domain or the Underworld itself). It also needs to be provided with the powers in the undead domain.

Since the contractor's aura will enter the contract, they don't have to sign it with a real name.[5] However, the summoning incantation demands the correct name to accurately summon the corresponding messenger.
