Sequence 9: Corpse Collector[]

New Abilities[1][2]
  • Physical Enhancement: A Corpse Collector, upon drinking the potion, will not only gain enhanced physical attributes but will also develop a gloomy presence and a lower body temperature.
    • A Corpse Collector will gain resistance to the Cold, Decay, and Corrosiveness of cadaveric auras, making them resistant to such effects to a certain extent.
    • Their gloomy presence and lower body temperature will prevent a Corpse Collector from being attacked by Undead creatures and Spirits.
  • Knowledge (Undead): Corpse Collectors will gain an abundant wealth of information pertaining to the specific characteristics and weaknesses of many Undead creatures.
    • This also includes just regular corpses which makes a Corpse Collector an expert on autopsy.
  • Spirituality: Their Spirituality is slightly enhanced as a Beyonder, allowing them to use Spirit Vision.
    • Spirit Vision: A Corpse Collector can use Spirit Vision to see non-physical things, such as ghosts and specters. They could see the different parts of a Soul, deduce a person's health and emotions, and determine if something has a magical aura.
      • Due to their unique nature, a Corpse Collector is able to directly see spiritual bodies, including a portion of Evil Spirits and restless Wraiths, even without activating their Spirit Vision.

Sequence 8: Gravedigger[]

New Abilities[2][3]
  • Spirit Communication: They are able to Communicate with a small number of Spirits that are near their surroundings. This can be used to either scout an area or help them with certain tasks.
    • Through Spirit Communication, Gravediggers can command the Spirits to do simple actions such as tightly grasping a target to immobilize them.
  • Eye of Death: By pressing down on their eyes, it will turn gray then colorless, allowing them to quickly determine the weaknesses of even unfamiliar Undead and Spirit creatures through observation.
Strengthened Abilities[2]
  • Physical Enhancement: They become more physically nimble and agile.
  • Spirituality: They gain an increase in their Spirituality.

Sequence 7: Spirit Medium[]

New Abilities[2]
  • Spirit Manipulation: At this stage a Beyonder of the Death Pathway experiences a qualitative change, gaining several abilities related to the control and commanding of Spirits.
    • They can use different Spirits they have controlled to actualize different kinds of effects, creating various kinds of supernatural phenomena in a rather multifaceted way.
    • While the amount of Spirits they can control is limited, with the advancement of each Sequence, the quantity and quality of said Spirits they can control will increase.
      • Undead creatures and Spirit World creatures will soon be things they will be able to control.
Strengthened Abilities
  • Knowledge (Mysticism): They gain knowledge of various kinds of Ritualistic Magic related to Spirits.
    • Using their powerful Spirituality or through the aid of various medications, a Spirit Medium can perform rituals to gain information from not only deceased Spirits but also living beings.
    • They have various ways of protecting themselves under the risk of being infected by a living Beyonder's potent Spirituality, allowing them to use rituals on said Beyonder.[4]
  • Spirit Communication: They are now able to directly Communicate with natural Spirits and loitering dead Souls around them, having informants everywhere that alert them of any danger or information.
    • A Spirit Medium is able to directly Communicate with recently deceased Spirits, such as fallen enemies, to obtain even more information from them.[5]
  • Spirituality: A Spirit Medium's Spirituality has been greatly enhanced.
    • Danger Intuition: They gain the ability to sense impending danger.[6]

Sequence 6: Spirit Guide[]

New Abilities[2]
  • Necromancy: Spirit Guides are able to turn corpses into living skeletons and zombies; however, this kind of "resurrection" of a body does not allow the reanimated corpse to have any will or vitality.[7]
  • Spirit World Communication: They gain the ability to influence the Spirit World. They can recruit Spirit messengers for help, helping them deliver and receive messages, as well as other uses.
Strengthened Abilities
  • Language of the Dead: By speaking a mystical language, they can urge a target's Spirit to leave a body, bypassing the physical protection provided by flesh and blood to target the Spirit Body.[8][2]
    • This is an advancement of a Spirit Medium's powers. It could go from direct communication with Spirits to that of commandeering and enslavement.[8]

Sequence 5: Gatekeeper[]

New Abilities
  • Door to the Underworld: Gatekeepers can sense and create gates to the Underworld.[2]
    • They can sense the entrance to the Underworld, allowing them to control the dead spirits inside, as though they watched over the gates that separated the dead from the living.
      • They are able to cause bloody, skinless arms, slimy tentacles with teeth, and bluish-black vines with baby faces to emerge and entangle their target or drag them into the Underworld.
      • The Door has immense suction power, pulling everything around it toward it. If the target ends up being pulled through the Door, they will vanish, having been sent to an unknown location.
  • Internal Underworld: They can house numerous Souls, deceased, and natural Spirits in a prison within their bodies, allowing them to transport an army wherever they go.[9]
    • As this can be considered a miniature Underworld, Gatekeepers are a prime target of possession for Evil Spirits as they provide an adequate environment for their existence.[10]

Sequence 4: Undying[]

New Abilities
  • Underworld Authority: An Undying is able to gain some power and control over the Underworld, being able to use it to achieve all sorts of certain effects.
    • Sealing: From this level onwards, they can reduce the negative effects of a Sealed Artifact by forming a Seal with the help of the Underworld.[11]
  • Spirit World Traversal: An Undying is able to go through the Spirit World, allowing them to head to far away places in quite a short period of time.
    • This is very similar to the Door of Teleportation from Travelers, however, an Undying seems to lack the ability to Blink across short distances.[12]
  • Rotting Wind: They can bring about a gust of Cold wind that silently causes Rot into nearby organisms and objects in an extremely quick fashion.
    • A Rotting Wind blew on a glass window of a second floor building, quickly Rotting and crumbling into countless tiny "snowflakes"[12]
  • Resurrection: Every 60 years, they would die then Resurrect, forgetting all their memories and resetting their madness levels.[13]
    • This is not completely without risk, the Undying would leave behind a death imprint in the River of Eternal Darkness with each Death. Once the number of Deaths reaches a certain level, their true bodies might be attracted to the Sefirah one day, causing them to truly die.[14]
Strengthened Abilities
  • Spirit Body: They can exist in a state between a physical body and a Spirit Body.[15]
Mythical Creature Form
  • As Sequence 4 Demigods they receive some level of Godhood, and with it comes an incomplete Mythical Creature Form. Disregarding all consequences, they can release their incomplete Mythical Creature Form to become an incomplete Quetzalcoatl, also known as a Feathered Serpent.

Sequence 3: Ferryman[]

New Abilities[16]
  • Death Gaze: A Ferryman's eyes already contain a rich symbolism of Death. Anyone who looks at their eyes would instantly die while even Demigods would suffer heavy injuries.
    • Even if there is no eye contact established, the target that a Ferryman simply Gazes would slowly die, just like slowly crossing the river of the dead and entering the Underworld.

Strengthened Abilities

  • Physical Enhancement: A Ferryman possesses an enormous resistance against most kinds of attacks. Attempting to kill them is almost like trying to kill a dead person.
    • Attacks with Purification powers, such as a Lightning Storm from a Sea King or a Flaring Sun from an Unshadowed, would still be effective against them.
  • Underworld Authority: They can bring about the descent of the Underworld.

Mythical Creature Form

  • As a Sequence 3 Beyonder, they can respond to prayers within a certain range.

Sequence 2: Death Consul[]

New Abilities

  • Dead Flame: "They" can spit out a pale white flame that can cover a very large area.

Strengthened Abilities

  • Language of the Dead: "They" can use the Language of the Dead to command and enslave various Undead and Spirits. To do that "They" must make a pact witnessed by the Underworld or the River of Eternal Darkness with said Undead creature or Spirit.
    • The Language of the Dead also holds some power over the Underworld, allowing certain promise to be made concerning the passing of a Soul in the Underworld, altering the position of Blessed of Death, and also being effective against Lower-Sequence Beyonders of "Their" own Pathway.

Mythical Creature Form

  • "They" become a complete Mythical Creature. "Their" Mythical Creature Form is a Quetzalcoatl, a serpent that is illusory and real. "Their" entire body is covered with huge dark-green scales while white feathers grows out from the gaps. Each scale and feather has strange symbols of different shapes.
    • Just the mere sight of "Them" would cause one's flesh to decompose, turning all those who look at "Them" into zombies and various other undead creatures.

Sequence 1: Pale Emperor[]

Authorities

  • Death (Withering): "They" hold authority over Death, being extremely noble and lacking the breath of living beings. "They" appear to be like an illusory god standing over countless Undead.
    • "They" are able to make people at or below "Their" level Die little by little over time, stopping their thoughts and ideas from forming, eventually turning them into "Their" slaves.
    • "They" can cause anything to Wither away, including non-living objects and abstract concepts. Even the concept of Death itself can Wither away and dissipate.
