— Amon to Klein Moretti on Lord of Mysteries, Chapter 1152 |
The Devil Monarch Farbauti is a Survivor from the Modern Era and one of the Ancient Gods from the Second Epoch. "He" is a Sequence 0 God of the Abyss Pathway, ascended in the period after the previous Father of Devils Primordial God Almighty died.
In addition, "He" has a Sequence 1 Abomination Beyonder characteristic that was later given to Naboredisley, "His" other identity.[1]
According to Amon, "He" is the only surviving Ancient God from the Second Epoch (this statement excludes Lilith who survived under a false identity). "He" is also known as the Dark Side of the Universe and is currently in the Abyss.[2] "He" is worshiped as a god by the Blood Sanctify Sect.
Later on, "He" was corrupted alongside the Chained God Tolzna by the originator of the Great Old One Father of Devils, the Mother Tree of Desire. "He" restored lucidness during the Fifth Epoch with the rise of the new Calamity of Destruction[3] and just before The Apocalypse.[4]

Countless black shadows gathered, coalescing into a pitch-black fiend dripping with viscous fluid. The fiend had two heads - one belonging to the Master of the Shadow Cottage and the other to Farbauti.[5]
History[]
According to the Myth of Creation, "He" and the rest of the devils were formed from the stomach, intestines, and the other evil parts of the body of The Original Creator.[6]
In truth, "He" was a remnant of the Pre-Epoch, a survivor after The Original Creator woke up. When "He" recovered fragments of thought and memory, "He" was already a great devil. Those fragments were soon drowned out by madness and bloodlust, only returning near the end of the First Epoch.[3] "He" became one of the eight Ancient Gods of the Second Epoch afterwards.
According to Madam Magician, "He" was born with a Sequence 1 Abomination Beyonder characteristic from a neighboring pathway, making "His" state one of the best among the eight Ancient Gods. "He" had also become the only Ancient God alive in "Their" original form. In fact, if Farbauti were to gather the ingredients of the Abyss Pathway as a Sequence 1 Abomination and complete the deity-ascension ritual to advance, "He" would be equivalent to a True God now—a stronger True God. "He" wouldn’t be an Ancient God described by words like madness, cruelty, violence, and bloodlust. However, as the Devil Monarch, even if "He" had done so, "He" would inevitably exhibit the characteristics of the Abyss Pathway, experiencing strong influence from this pathway. Therefore, Farbauti is also one of the two or three most unhinged Ancient Gods. This doesn’t contradict "His" better state. Later, "He" gave the Sequence 1 Abomination Beyonder characteristic to Naboredisley, “His” other identity.[1]
Among the Ancient Gods, the Devil Monarch Farbauti and the Annihilation Demonic Wolf Flegrea were independent beings who wanted to subvert all order and corrupt all living beings.[7]
According to records of the City of Silver, "He", along with the other Ancient Gods all lost "Their" godhood after the Ancient Sun God reclaimed "His" authorities from the Ancient Gods. However, the truth is that during the Rise of the Ancient Sun God in the Second Epoch, "He" chose to flee and hide in the Abyss.
Only the Forsaken Land of the Gods still remembers the Dark Side of the Universe. The rest of the world has already forgotten "His" name and only knows the Dark Side of the Universe as the evil god of the Abyss Pathway.
At some point, "He" was corrupted by the Mother Tree of Desire since "His" pathway originally belonged to "Her".
During Klein's Apotheosis Ritual, Amon placed the first Blasphemy Slate into the Fog Sea, near the Abyss’ entrance. This, combined with the enhanced seal brought about by the corresponding authority of Door and half of the Lord of the Astral World’s control towards the world barrier prevents the Outer Deities from being able to have "Their" powers penetrate inside for a short period. Without the influence of the Outer Deities, the Dark Side of the Universe and the Chained God did not wish to interfere in the battle of gods. "They" would rather seize this opportunity to escape "Their" restraints.[8]
As per the content of the book "A Summary of Rumors and Hearsay Before the Cataclysm" in the New City of Silver's library, the name Devil Monarch Farbauti was mentioned:
After the Devil Monarch Farbauti led the Devils back to the Abyss, occasional rumors persisted of Demons enticing humans.
“The Demons operated under the following names:
“Beelbubli, Almos, Samael, Lilatan, and Naboredisley.
“A high-ranking Demon Hunter speculated that these names conceal the aliases of Devil Monarch Farbauti…
The alias of the Devil Monarch Farbauti is Naboredisley. The Abomination form chose to sleep and be a corpse in the dream tomb of Tizamo Town. This will allow "His" corpse to enjoy peace and tranquility, safe from the Mother Tree of Desire's harassment. "He" chose to continue in this dead state until after The Apocalypse.[1]
In The Day of Many Disasters, because the Primordial God Almighty nearly resurrected, the Devil Monarch Farbauti experienced the revival of the malicious consciousness and frenzied spirit of the Primordial God Almighty within "Him", because the Primordial God Almighty had once accommodated the Tenebrous World in the past. To a certain extent, it balanced the corruption of the Mother Tree of Desire, allowing "Him" to regain a semblance of peace. However, since the revival of the Primordial God Almighty was short-lived, with "His" consciousness retreating to the Chaos Sea. "He" left only "His" malicious spirit, preventing a true balance. Farbauti remained unable to fully escape the control of the Mother Tree of Desire. However, "His" condition had relatively improved—"He" no longer relied on Lilith's aid.[3]
Naboredisley and Lumian Lee had agreed to collaborate. The plan was that, when Lumian next performed a deep secret deed and projected his spirit and consciousness into the City of Calamity, he would take Farbauti's mental imprint with him. This will help Farbauti establish a preliminary connection with the Tenebrous World. This is possible because the Primordial God Almighty had once accommodated both the City of Calamity and the Tenebrous World, so the two Sefirot had mutually corrupted each other. Through the Tenebrous World's corruption within the City of Calamity, Farbauti can establish an initial connection. This would also benefit Lumian since Farbauti's mental imprint, fused with the Tenebrous World's corruption, would mitigate related risks when Lumian accommodate the City of Calamity, reducing potential dangers to some extent. If this plan succeeds, Naboredisley's sealed Abomination avatar will die, and Lumian may claim its resulting Beyonder characteristic as his own.[3]
Before The Apocalypse, when Lumian projected his spirit and consciousness into the City of Calamity, Farbauti directly infiltrated his mind and spirit, and neutralized the Tenebrous World's corruption within the City of Calamity.[4]
When the fight against the Outer Deities first started, the Master of the Shadow Cottage met Farbauti in the Tenebrous World. Both beings were unwilling to accept the fate of being devoured by the Great Old Dominators and decided to cooperate.[9] "They" fused into a pitch-black fiend dripping with viscous fluid. The fiend had two heads—one belonging to the Master of the Shadow Cottage and the other to Farbauti.[5]
Farbauti and Master of the Shadow Cottage successfully formed a Quasi-Father of Devils, but "Their" aggregate form proved highly vulnerable to the influence of the Inextinguishable Ravings. In "Their" final moment of clarity, "They" decided to risk everything by luring the Inextinguishable Ravings to the Tenebrous World. Then, "They" cursed "Themselves" and everything connected to "Them".[10]
With Amon's assistance, this suicidal act also impacted the Mother Tree of Desire. "They" succeeded in cursing and severely wounding two Outer Deities, forcing both the Inextinguishable Ravings and the Mother Tree of Desire to retreat. However, the Mother Tree of Desire managed to recover the Tenebrous World by exploiting the connection made during the curse. This came at the cost of "Her" injuries and the abandonment of the Uniquenesses and Beyonder characteristics of the Chained and Abyss Pathways.[11]
