One of the four major nations located on the south of the Northern Continent. It was founded by the Castiya Family in the Fourth Epoch, after the Trunsoest Empire was destroyed.

As of 1358 of the Fifth Epoch, it is the third-strongest nation on the Northern Continent after the Loen Kingdom and the Intis Republic, followed by the Feysac Empire.

It only had the Church of the Earth Mother as it's main religion.

Geography[]

Feynapotter Kingdom is situated on the southern part of the Northern Continent. Bordered to the north by the Intis Republic which is separated by Riston Province's Pyraez Mountain Range (called Dariège Mountain Range by Dariège folks), to the northeast by Segar, to the northwest by Lenburg, to the west by Masin and the Fog Sea, and to the southeast by Desi Bay (two-thirds of which belongs to the Loen Kingdom).

History[]

Fourth Epoch[]

During the rule of the Night Emperor and the Blood Emperor, almost equivalent to the entirety of today's Feynapotter Kingdom was a part of the Trunsoest Empire, minus northwestern highlands which was a part of the Tudor Empire.[1]

After the War of the Four Emperors, the Northern Continent was divided among the Angel Families of the destroyed Trunsoest Empire. The Castiya Family established and became the royal family of the Feynapotter Kingdom.

Fifth Epoch[]

Before the kingdom’s split from the south-central regions (Battle of the Violated Oath), the Church of the Earth Mother and the Church of the God of Knowledge and Wisdom jointly governed the land. Unlike the Loen Kingdom’s unconventional gold pound system, Feynapotter’s currency was designed by scholars from the Church of Knowledge.[2]

In 738, the southern Feynapotter Kingdom originally believed in both the Earth Mother and the God of Knowledge and Wisdom. Due to some influencing factors, the two churches began to be at odds with each other, and their believers often clashed.

During that period, the Loen Kingdom and the Intis Kingdom seized the opportunity to start a war in the name of protecting freedom of religion. In the late stages of the war, the Feysac Empire joined the fray and attempted to destroy the ploy by Loen and Intis. However, they still failed to turn the situation around.

The result of the war was that at the border between Loen and Feynapotter, as well as Intis and Feynapotter, countries such as Lenburg, Masin, and Segar, gained independence. They solely believed in the God of Knowledge and Wisdom, leaving the Church of the Earth Mother as the only religion in the Feynapotter Kingdom.

The conflict that lasted five years was called the Battle of the Violated Oath because both sides of the war accused their adversaries of violating the Holy Oath.

During the World War in 1350, Feynapotter and the Church of the Earth Mother joined the war and invaded Lenburg.[3] The Feysac Empire and the Feynapotter Kingdom navy withstood the Church of the Lord of Storms along with the Loen Kingdom navy in the Sonia Sea.

Cultural[]

Characteristic[]

The Feynapotterians, known for their romantic and love-centric culture, hold the Earth Mother in high regard, emphasizing the significance of women. Men openly express admiration for women, showcasing their prowess in country romance with genuine sincerity and elegance. In contrast, the romantic traditions of the Intisians may seem less vibrant.

Despite their romantic ideals, Feynapotterians value family, reproduction, and children, leaning toward settled family lives. Similar to the conservative Loenese, they find it challenging to accept extramarital affairs, emphasizing the importance of fidelity in marriage. While exceptions exist, the prevalence of adultery in Feynapotter is not as exaggerated as in Intis, reflecting varying beliefs about where love thrives best.[4]

Feynapotterians average lifespan surpassed that of Loen, Intis, Feysac, and other nations. Plenty of individuals lived beyond the age of 70.[5]

Society[]

Due to the Earth Mother's, women have the same standing in society as men. However, they place more emphasis on reproduction, treating it as the holiest matter.

The good ladies here value men with a robust bodies and bravery. Because men like that are more suited for reproduction, and they possess the ability to impregnate good ladies,[6]

Shaped by the Earth Mother’s faith and the significance accorded to family traditions: “Matriarchal culture." Within each family, the most venerable grandmother, a prolific progenitor, commanded unparalleled respect. As the unquestionable “parent,” they wielded a certain degree of control over every family member. Even outside the confines of their homes, this reverence persisted, for these grandmothers represented the familial symbol, embodying the Earth Mother. The combination of religious beliefs and societal norms secured a unique status for these elderly grandmothers.[7]

Unlike the severe tramp situation in the Loen Kingdom and the Intis Republic, Feynapotter’s tramp issue was less acute due to fertile soil, ample pastures, and the Church’s modified agricultural methods, resulting in surplus food production. Here, food was notably cheaper, about 15 to 20% lower compared to Intis and other countries. Previously, before the Loen Kingdom began importing food from Feynapotter, the price of rye bread of the same weight was nearly twice as high.

Despite the abundance, bankrupt farmers, herders, and city dwellers ended up as tramps due to land acquisition, loan sharks, and other reasons. However, they received free food from various sources like the cathedral of Earth Mother, the Fertility Order, government departments, and charitable organizations, which although not filling, prevented starvation, allowing them to recuperate and find new opportunities.[8]

Originally, the Feynapotter Kingdom believed in both the Earth Mother and the God of Knowledge and Wisdom. However, after the Battle of the Violated Oath in 783, the small countries that believed in the God of Knowledge and Wisdom (Lenburg, Masin, and Segar) gained independence from the Feynapotter Kingdom. This left the Church of the Earth Mother as the only religion in the Feynapotter Kingdom

As a country that believed in only one deity, they have small mobile cathedral (prayer room) with a dedicated clergyman in charge, be it on long-distance ships or steam locomotives, they considered the need for believers to quietly pray and listen to teachings.[10]
