Frank Lee is the doctor and the first mate of the Future, the captain being Queen of Stars Cattleya. His bounty is 7,000 pounds by 1352. He is a Druid of the Mother Pathway.

Appearance

A man in dungarees and a white shirt. He was in his thirties and looked strong and fit. He had thick body hair. As for his forearm, which was exposed outside, it seemed like he was downing a brown sweater.

Personality

He holds great passion for cross-breeding, and with his Beyonder ability, he is capable of creating many new species. He is especially interested in beef, mushroom, and fish, and attempts to cross-breed everything with these three. He has also used Rose Bishop's flesh and blood to cross-breed in order to grant the plant self-reproductive ability and created a kind of fish that turns a person into a group of mushrooms if consumed with water. With Klein's suggestion, he made several kind of mushrooms that can grow in darkness.

Other than his strange interest, he is friendly and talkative, mostly about his research, and became Gehrman's friend.

As Carnot said, he is a kind and pure person, but at times, his pureness is terrifying, but he was one of the few who looked at him normally.

History

Frank originally was an orphan who grew up in the cloister of the Church of the Earth Mother. He really treated the Church as a family and viewed the Earth Mother as his mother. He had the opportunity of becoming a diocese bishop, however, he was later nearly sent to a court because of his evil cross-breeding ideas. Afterward, he became the first mate of the Future.

In order to stop his evil cross-breeding and to reduce famine in the City of Silver, Klein guided him to focus on the plant that could grow without sunlight or the cows that grew by consuming monsters. In volume 5, with Klein's help, Frank advanced to Sequence 5 Druid. He successfully invented mushrooms that can be grown in the dark and harsh environments of the Forsaken Land of the Gods. They grew and reproduced by devouring the flesh and blood of monsters.

Frank still thought that his creations lacked something, a soul. After he received Cattleya's “encouragement”, he aims to become a Sequence 4 Classical Alchemist.

Klein is afraid that he could become corrupted by the Mother Goddess of Depravity, but from what he can see as long Frank doesn’t come into contact with anything related to "Her" in the future and doesn’t advance to a demigod, there shouldn’t be any problems. If only one of these two conditions is satisfied, the chance of an accident happening will increase greatly. If both are satisfied at the same time, the developments can't be predicted.

Frank Lee became an infamous name even in the Intis Republic to the level of some Beyonders subconsciously cautious when learning of a person with the same surname. He was contracted by the Church of the Fool to assist with producing unique vegetation. His mushroom creations have become indispensable to the New City of Silver's daily livelihood, such as lining the city pathways or vending fresh milk from his flesh-eating milk mushrooms.

The Creations of Frank Lee

Alcohol Fish

Fish who have alcohol replacing their blood. According to Frank, they can be categorized by species. Some will produce Lanti Proof, others Nepos, red wine, and beer. Beer must come from sharks or whales to have enough.

The experiment failed because their lifespan was too short to reproduce. Later, he wondered if crossbreeding them with the King of Immortality could increase their survivability.

Healing Apple

A cross-breed of medicine and fruits, it's the outcome of one of Frank's projects, it makes the consumption of medicine more enjoyable. According to Klein, it had the taste of a normal apple. It just had a lot more juice, and the insides were softer. When he ate it, the illness he got because of the Biological Poison Bottle quickly disappeared, his throat suddenly stopped hurting. He didn’t realize when he stopped coughing.

Bull's Milk

One of his projects is fungus that can make bulls produce milk. More precisely, it is supposed to make them produce milk even when they aren’t in a state capable of lactation, regardless of whether they are male or female. As long as they consume it, they would produce milk and return to normal once they aren’t fed.

Mushrooms

Frank's Mushroom

First Prototype

The mushrooms created by using the flesh and blood of a Rose Bishop. As long as there’s fish, it will keep growing. This mushroom was his first creation sent to Klein before Klein guided him to create the plants that could grow in the dark or by consuming the monster flesh.

In the Foggy Town, Klein gave this mushroom, along with the projection of roasted fish summoned by Zaratul, to Mr. A. Made him mutated to some kind of humanoid mushroom. Later, most of it had been burned away by Nina. Somehow Cattleya collected some of it and used it to kill the members of the Rose School of Thought during their dinner with Cielf June.

Second Prototype

A type of mushroom that grew by feeding on flesh and blood. They had three breeds.

1. The first was crossbred with wheat and can be grounded into a mushroom powder that can be used to make bread.
2. Second had the characteristic of being mixed with milk, allowing milk to be drawn from them.
3. The last had been crossbred with fish. They came with a refreshing taste and had a thick meaty texture.

They were absolutely not to be eaten raw. They needed to be cooked in 90°C hot water for at least five minutes so as to kill any living characteristics; otherwise, regardless of what it turned into, it will absorb the flesh and blood around it, including human organs.

It was unable to distinguish between normal flesh and monster flesh. Hence it would experience different mutations because of the different types of monster flesh, producing different kinds of danger.

Klein used them to intimidate Creeping Hunger.

Third Prototype

They could grow by devouring the flesh and blood of monsters, without any other conditions. Their descendants will be divided into two categories.

1. This type will accumulate various kinds of poisons that cannot be eaten. However, they can be used as a source of poison.
2. They can be used for food after being cooked at high temperatures through boiling, stewing, and frying. They cannot be eaten raw or before it’s cooked. Otherwise, they will proliferate in body, using flesh and blood as a hotbed. They had 11 flavors such as milk, beef, fish, etc.

Klein gave these mushrooms to the City of Silver and the Moon City to reduce famine.

Milky Teana Tree

For the deliverance of the Communion foods and drinks, Teativa and Teana, to The Fool's cathedral in Intis and beyond the three seas. A modified Teana tree with fruits that has a strong milky scent.

Trivia

• In the side story "In Modern Day," he is Catie Huang's employed biology teacher. His family grows mushrooms, and he gave dried mushrooms to Catie Huang, which she then gave to Zhou Mingrui. Later on, the dried mushrooms absorbed the "Instigator" potion and transformed into self-aware red-and-white mushrooms, escaping into the neighboring company and being eaten by Mr. A.
