— Anderson Hood on Lord of Mysteries, Chapter 703 |
Giant King's Court was the Divine Kingdom of the ancient god, Giant King Aurmir, situated in the Forsaken Land of the Gods. The Court is connected to the Sea of Ruins, where the shadow of the Giant King's Court which stood on the opposite mountain peak in the dream world. The Court isn’t too far away from the City of Silver. In-between the Court and City of Silver is the Afternoon Town. Dawn Town is nearby. The Court was the former meeting venue of Rose Redemption in the Third Epoch.
Appearance[]
Unlike other places of the Forsaken Land of the Gods which stay in darkness, the Giant King's Court is bathed with eternal twilight. The Court has countless palaces, towers, and heavy walls. The palaces are grand, magnificent, and something that would appear in legends and epics. This is the true God's realm.
In the area where dusk was frozen, there were countless palaces, countless towers, and many majestic city walls. They were magnificent and opulent, resembling a miracle found in myths and legends. Furthermore, they were frozen in time.[1]
Past[]
A mountain which was covered with countless palaces, spires, and majestic city walls. These buildings were opulent and stacked in circles. Just one of them was abnormally huge and didn’t resemble a human’s residence. Combined together, it had an indescribable sense of epic proportions that seemed legendary or mythical. The sun hung far away as it cast the colors of the sunset onto the city as the light seemed to be frozen.[2] The majestic building complex that seemed frozen in the sunset is the shadow of the Court.[3]
According to Groselle's memories, a forest with towering but withered trees was situated behind the Court, called the Waning Forest. On the other side of the forest was a mountain and steep cliffs. At the top of it was a magnificent palace. The palace was huge and opulent, and it didn’t seem suitable for humans. It gave him the impression like it was from a myth as the light of dusk that scattered above it seemed frozen.[4] The mountain where the Giant King's Court was wasn’t tall, which meant that the Waning Forest was on a mountain rather close to the King’s Court. It was probably just a straight path from there to the ancient god’s residence.[5]

The Court Path[]
From Afternoon Town, one follows the stairs paved with gray stones and walked towards the peak of the mountain. Along the way, rotten giants swarm the path.[1] Just entering the peripheral glow of dusk weakens them as they fight various monsters.
Eventually arriving at a huge stone staircase. It was entirely grayish-white, but it was dyed with an orange-yellow glow. It was gorgeous and silent. Every step of the staircase was relatively high. If it were any ordinary human, they would definitely find it very difficult to walk. On the huge staircase, it was so majestic that one had to look up to see the city walls at the top. There were many signs of burn marks and damage on the walls, and some places were impaled with arrows that were as thick as ordinary trees. The several-meter-long arrows had even caused some rocks to crumble. Backing away from the stone staircase, one would find a rugged trail. On the right was a towering cliff, and on the left was a bottomless chasm that was tainted with the glow of the sunset. Here, wraiths and shadows of giants linger. After a while, circled around the mountain wall and cliff and would see a dark forest, the Waning Forest.[6] The familiar rugged pathway. On one side of the road was a towering cliff, and on the other side was an afternoon sun-soaked, bottomless cloud.[7]
In the middle of the city wall was a locked door that was tens of meters tall. Its color was closer to grayish-blue, and there were golden nails embedded in it. There were two guards standing outside that exuded an extremely oppressive stance simply by looking at them. These two Silver Knights guard the entrance. This was only the area of the royal court’s entrance.[6][8] Countless stairs extended from behind the open door all the way to the tallest and most magnificent residence of the Giant King. On the way, there were no obstacles. There were palaces and towers on both sides. Giant statues covered in iron-colored armor stood in front of different buildings, guarding the path that led to the residences of the god. Walked a straight path to the tallest and most majestic building in the Court, the Giant King's Residence.[9]
The buildings had huge glass windows ground from orange gems.[10]
Around the Court[]
In the Second Epoch, the trees in the Waning Forest were tens of meters tall, and the thickness of the trees was the arm span of several giants. However, their barks were mottled with signs of rot everywhere. The leaves and twigs were mostly withered and dropping as they interwove with each other like a dark cloud floating in midair.[5] In the forest of the Fifth Epoch, the trees were tens of meters tall and were extremely thick. However, their barks were peeling off, and the trunks rotting. The leaves were withered, giving the feeling that they were waning. The leaves were supposed to be entangled together, but they formed a barricade in midair, blocking the light of dusk, darkening its interior. But at that moment, due to the large number of collapsed and fallen trees, the orange-red glow had already scattered across most of the areas within the forest that were visible with the naked eye.[6] The forest that should’ve been engulfed in darkness and in decline was filled with the orange-red light of dusk. The light was intense and burned like fire, but it couldn’t help but carry a sense of brilliance with it that couldn’t be ignored. The remnants of the Giant King’s will became a type of evil spirit to protect this area.[11]
After circling a boulder that protruded out the mountain near the Waning Forest, enter the Barren Tunnel. A gigantic cave at least thirty meters tall appeared. Erected outside the cave was a stone stele. Engraved on it was a single vertical eye, a high nose, and plush lips. It looked like a giant’s head had been squeezed in to reveal the frontal facial features. The stele had intelligence.[5] By the Fifth Epoch, the Barren Tunnel has changed. Out of the Waning Forest, circled around the protruding boulder along the mountain, and found the gigantic cave that was thirty meters tall. Outside the cave, a stone stele had already shattered into pieces and was growing weeds. After entering the cave, followed the weathered stone slabs and the peeling murals. At the end of the tunnel, a grayish-blue door which was open leading to dark "elevator" hall. On both sides of the door were pieces of iron-black fragments that seemed to belong to some sort of armor.[12] In the Second Epoch, there stood on each side of the door was a four-to five-meter-tall giant. The giants guarding this place were different from Groselle and the others. They wore solid and beautiful iron-black armor and firm, exquisite helms. They looked like two huge statues. The hall wasn’t too spacious. The ends of the hall could be seen clearly, and it could probably only hold five to six giants. As the "elevator hall ascended, all one saw were grayish-black walls flashing by as they kept sweeping.[5]
Outside the elevator door, a magnificent palace propped up by stone pillars appeared. It was the Guards' Residence. It had two murals featuring Badheil and Omebella on opposite walls. The Guards' Residence had a long table taller than humans, with extremely large chairs. On the two sides were rooms, and inside them are neatly ordered beds.[5] It had windows, walls, the ground, the bedside, the tables, chairs, and stone pillars.[10] The exit was the main stone door of the hall. Outside the stone door, there was a platform with staircases on both sides. In front of visitors stood a railing formed from grayish-white stone pillars that faced the tallest building in the area. There was a huge blue-gray door with countless mysterious symbols carved on both sides of it. The corridors, stairs, and other objects connected the multitude of palaces and towers together. The staircase goes down and was infused with remnant godhood of degeneration.[12] At the bottom of the staircase, there was a towering palace bathed in the glow of dusk. Behind it was a corridor and staircase that led to another area. The palace door was open, and it was pitch-black inside. This dark empty hall was the former venue of Rose Redemption and was filled with the remnant godhood of concealment and sleep. It was a hall with countless murals drawn. In the middle of the hall was a long dark red table. Situated around it were high-back chairs with intricate patterns.[13] As for the other murals, they were profiled from different angles of the main murals. When combined, they formed a three-dimensional scene. The hall exit was the ten-meter-tall gray-blue door with a single pane at the back.[14] A giant statue lies in ambush. Followed the corridor outside and entered another hall. Weaved through the layers of palaces, towers, and different corridors. Along the way, there were several enemies. Most of them were statues that had come to life. A small number of them were evil spirits formed by the combination of remnant emotions and the power of dusk. In a hall with oil paintings depicted different giants on both sides and close to the tallest building of the Court, entered the inner area and saw the dusk sea towards the left after exit.[15] A row of huge stone columns on the left formed railings. Beyond the railings was an orange-red gas and a churning dark blue sea.[10] The door and railings were damaged later in the fight.[16] "Light Culler" was hidden here to guard the tallest palace, the Giant King's palace and the chamber of Sasrir.[17]
Giant King's Palace[]
The Giant King's residence. The tallest palace was the tallest and most magnificent building in the Giant King's Court. The dusk’s light seemed to transform into something corporeal that covered its surface, dyeing it with a clear sense of decline. It gave off the feeling that the sun had set and an eternal eventide was coming. On both sides were steeples, while on the other side were spires. The front door was a double door that opened outwards, with gray and blue as the main colors. Its height exceeded ten meters, and it was covered with symbols, labels, and patterns. It looked stately and mysterious. There was a pitch-black socket on the left side of the door at a height of three to four meters tall. It was equivalent to an adult’s fist. It was the keyhole.[17] Once the giants' key was fitted, the key fused into the door and opened it. The opening of the door lead to the dark environment and the spread of Sasrir's influence, causing changes to the illusory sky.[10]
Inside, the place was enveloped by thick corporeal darkness. Visitors couldn’t see further than five meters away. The ground was paved with grayish-white bricks that looked like they were pieces of a frozen sunset.[18] Unless Sasrir was removed, to see the true residence, the visitor must be engulfed by shadow. The darkness was gone. The grayish-white stone bricks, the surrounding walls, and the huge pillars appeared clearly. They were covered in a layer of faint shadows. Outside the window, there was no sun, no moon, and no stars. However, a faint light shone through the window, making the entire palace appear sinister, dark, and cold. In the deepest part of the palace stood a very faint shadow, resembling curtains. In the deepest depths of the palace, that faint shadow dissipated, revealing a flight of steps meant for giants and an iron-black throne at the top of it.[19] Behind the iron-black throne, there was a pair of dim, grayish-blue double doors that depicted sunset.[20] After erasing Sasrir, the Giant King’s residence was covered in orange light.[21] Beyond the open grayish-blue door, a flight of stone stairs led to a sea that glowed with golden light.[22]
History[]
The descendants of the Kingdom of Silver, who had been ruled by the giants for generations, knew exactly where the ruins were located. After realizing that the Giant King's Court might lead to the outside world, they have been preparing to explore it.
Groselle was trapped in his book shortly after he left the King's Court and passed through Dawn Town before arriving in the Nation of Gold.[23]
Waning Forest[]
Waning Forest is somewhere only Giant King can enter; even his queen and sons don't have permission. Rumor has it that buried inside it are ‘His’ parents, who also form the origins of giants.[24]
The exploratory team of the City of Silver explored the tomb of the giant king's parents, where stood a stone tablet indicating the identity of the owner of the tomb, and the tomb and coffin had long been opened, showing the remains inside, that is, the remains of two human skeletons. One was less than 1.9 meters tall, while the other was less than 1.8 meters tall.[11] The forest didn’t have anything of value other than trees, tomb tablets, or tombs.[12]
Barren Tunnel[]
To avoid the front entrance after entering the Giant King's Court from Afternoon Town. It’s through the Waning Forest and the Barren Tunnel.[23] There’s a path that can bypass the front of the Giant King's Court and enter the interior from the Waning Forest and Barren Tunnel.[25] The dilapidated tunnel leads to an ancient "elevator", which stops at a path.
Guards' Residence[]
Exited from the ascending "elevator" hall. The exit of this place leads to a downward staircase containing remnant degeneration. Lovia prayed to the True Creator to cleanse the exploratory team. Later, Klein scattered Groselle's ashes to the residence's surfaces. This dedicated action made him less ostracized by dusk.[10]
Rose Redemption[]
The exploration team of the City of Silver reveals that Rose Redemption had held meetings inside a palace of .[26] They have also found "Light Culler" Murskogan, the leader of Court Chasers, who claims Dark Angel Sasrir is sleeping inside.[17] Klein has once received a giant key to this palace from Edwina.[27]
Front Door[]
Klein, with a Reinette Tinekerr projection and Creeping Hunger "Teleportation", defeated the two auto Silver Knights guarding the main entrance.[9]
Giant King's Residence[]
To enter the Giant King's palace, Klein, Lovia, Colin and Derrick fought the "Shadow" of Klein and Trinity Templar Euuni divided Saints: the Hanged Man, the Sun, and the Visionary.[28]
Dark Angel’s chamber[]
Behind the giant door is an illusory, pitch-black, viscous ocean, which is related to the Chaos Sea.[10] Evil spirit of Sasrir used the First Blasphemy Slate as a key item to control parts of Chaos Sea, then he slumbered inside the Giant King's palace.[29]
Behind the iron-black throne that Sasrir was sleeping on, there was a pair of dim, grayish-blue double doors that depicted sunset. It is the door that leads to the outside world.[20]
City of Silver and Moon City Migration[]
The citizens of the City of Silver and Moon City executed a mass immigration project in 1352 of the Fifth Epoch to move to the Rorsted Archipelago through the Sea of Ruins outside the exit doors of the Giant King's palace. They left the Forsaken Land of the Gods for a better life.
