It's already a challenge for Her to maintain Her humanity. So, I shouldn't burden Her any further.

Hela about the Evernight Goddess
on Circle of Inevitability, Chapter 392

Hela is the codename of one of the vice presidents and initiators of the Curly-Haired Baboons Research Society. She's one of those who have gone the furthest down the path to godhood.

Both her former name and real identity are unknown.

Appearance[]

A woman clad in an intriguing black dress, she emitted an enigmatic allure, reminiscent of the attire one might expect from a widow.

Her skin possessed an unnaturally pale complexion, as though she had been shielded from sunlight for an extended period. Light golden hair cascaded naturally over her shoulders, soft yet lacking in luster. Her eyes seemed to absorb all available light, rendering them dark and impervious to revealing their true color. Though her facial features were rather attractive, they didn’t leave a distinct impression. It was almost as though her cold demeanor had cast a shadow, preventing others from forming a complete assessment.

History[]

Hela was first mentioned to Lumian Lee by Aurore Lee.[1] It was apparent that Aurore had trusted Hela when she was alive.

Lumian summoned Hela's messenger to convey Aurore's demise and establish contact with Hela to investigate the truth of the Destruction of Cordu.[2]

After Hela arrived in Trier, Lumian arranged to meet her at the Little Cow Café on Rue Ancienne in the Quartier de l’Observatoire. During their meeting, she allows Lumian to participate in the Research Society gathering to observe April Fool's member. In her letter, Hela had mentioned that she had journeyed to Trier in pursuit of an artifact hidden deep within the catacombs, she asked if Lumian knew about the Samaritan Women’s Spring.[3]

Later, Lumian received a task from Madam Justice to retrieve a vial of the Samaritan Women’s Spring for her,[4] prompting him to contact Hela to accompany her to the underground catacombs.[5]

Contracted Messenger[]

The contracted creature that belongs to Hela.

It was a human-like skull, seemingly forged from pure silver. It emitted a gentle light that dispelled the encroaching darkness. Pale-white flames burned in the skull’s eye sockets.

The spirit wandering above the world,
The friendly creature that can be subordinated,
A messenger that belongs solely to Hela.

— Hela's messenger summoning incantation[6]

Equipment[]

  • Concealment Ring[3]

Trivia[]
