Praise The Fool!

Hisoka to Lumian Lee
on Circle of Inevitability, Chapter 651

Twanaku Tupián better known under the codename Hisoka is one of the members of April Fool's and a former member of the Curly-Haired Baboons Research Society. He is a transmigrator from the modern era. He is a Beyonder of the Abyss Pathway and a Boon bestowed of the Chained Pathway. He is a member of the Rose School of Thought Temperance Faction under the Church of the Fool, but falsified his faith in The Fool. Because of his original body's odd origin from Tizamo Town, he had to be killed again in the 1358 Dream Festival.[1]

Appearance[]

Twanaku Tupián bore light-brown skin, a blend of Northern and Southern Continent descent. His eyes gleamed flaxen, his hair dark. While not unattractive, his demeanor exuded indifference to life.[2]

At Research Society Gathering: he wore a half-mask, vertical red hair, and teardrop and star makeup on his face. He dressed in clothes with poker card patterns, an allusion to the literary character Hisoka Morow.[3]

Background[]

The Original Twanaku: According to Tizamo's merchant, six years ago in 1352 there was a fire in the Twanaku family. All his kin perished. In fact, the Nois family's Demon secretly influenced the Twanaku family, giving them knowledge about a ritual related to the black ancient tomb. Once the Dream Festival began, the Twanaku family took the initiative to attempt the sacrificial process from the ritual or dream projection given by the Demon, leading to their failure, their entire family perishing, corrupting the house, and forming a subtle connection to the black ancient tomb. Make the house unique enough to allow lucid dreaming in the Dream Festival.

Hisoka Transmigrated: After transmigrating into the body of Twanaku, who "survived" the fire alone, he no longer participated in Mass or entered the cathedral of God. Later, he left Tizamo for Port Pylos. Lumian speculates that he does not bother to feign his faith; by then, Hisoka had already become a Beyonder of the Abyss Pathway because of the Nois family's Demon, making it impossible for him to participate in the Church of the Eternal Blazing Sun's Mass. After joining the patrol team and amassing wealth, he rebuilt his burnt-down house and then comes back to Tizamo every year to ensure his dream projection didn't completely disappear, allowing the Dream Festival to absorb some of his malice, he also received the Chained Pathway boon from Naboredisley in the dream. Twanaku "Hisoka" is the first person from Tizamo to join the patrol team. Moreover, he's rapidly advancing in rank. He's a source of pride for Tizamons.[4][5]

Personality[]

His emotions are pretty unpredictable, swinging between joy and anger.[6]

After Franca vividly detailed Hisoka's usual characteristics to Anthony Reid, the Hypnotist's profiling revealed an exceptionally aggressive trait, ranking among the top.[7]

As per Franca’s explanation, the name “Hisoka” stemmed from a literary work hailing from the original world of transmigrators like themselves. One of the character’s defining traits was an insatiable appetite for combat and the thrill of extinguishing formidable adversaries, reveling in the ecstasy and carnage of claiming lives. If the target was sufficiently potent, he’d patiently await their growth, perhaps even offer a nudge.

Hisoka, a key member in April Fool's, adopted this moniker as his code name, driven by an unmistakable urge for self-expression, mirroring this characteristic. His targets are Beyonders while he was at the Serial Killer stage. Unlike other Serial Killers, he doesn’t prey on the weak or ordinary people.[8] His targets Beyonders are young, filled with potential, and have already reached a certain level of maturity.[9]

History[]

More than four years ago. Back then, when Hisoka was weaker and less noticeable, he had infiltrated the temperance faction through deception and deceit. On the surface, Hisoka seemed to be a Beyonder of the Chained Pathway, displaying a level of restraint. As a non-core member of the temperance faction, he have gone unnoticed with his issues. This is why the Matani' patrol team allowed a Chained Pathway Beyonder to join.

As a peripheral member of the temperance faction, he likely operated without much scrutiny. Later, he faked receiving resources from the temperance faction and the Rose School of Thought's attacks to advance. In reality, he relies on the Naboredisley's boons.

Hisoka's true aim was to infiltrate the Church of the Fool through a certain pathway and have faith in Mr. Fool. This revelation came from the Celestial Worthy. Hisoka used a specific technique during prayer. On the surface, he seemed to be praying to Mr. Fool, but in reality, he receive a message from the Celestial Worthy. This way, he wouldn't face the risk of a false premise.

The Celestial Worthy make Hisoka do this because "He" intends to gradually steal Mr. Fool's identity and faith. When many believers genuinely believe in Mr. Fool, but they equate him as the Celestial Worthy, the Celestial Worthy becomes The Fool. If the Celestial Worthy usually gathers followers, the Tarot Club would wipe them out at the slightest hint. Yet, if their followers outwardly professed faith in Mr. Fool, not only would they escape destruction, but they'd also gain protection.[10]

Four years ago, he committed a serial murders for acting and got a bounty on his head of 70,000 verl d'or.[11]

Hisoka also aim to utilize the Nois Family's Demon to acquire something and carry out a ritual to appease him repeatedly, but the Demon only granted him an opportunity two years ago. The pranks in the gold mine city and Tizamo Town took place after this. One happened at the end of the preceding year, while the other unfolded at the end of last year. Lumian suspecting that these two pranks might have motives beyond concealing Hisoka's advancement ritual to become a Desire Apostle.[12] Hisoka finally appeased that Demon from the Nois family and acquired that thing. Concealed in his body's hometown, Tizamo Town.[13]

According to Bard, Hisoka prefers going solo. The rare instances of collaboration are mostly with Mad Lady. He's highly dangerous, on par with Loki. Mad Lady, however, remarked that he's not pure enough.[6]

An Unfulfilled Conspiracy[]

Hisoka took the gamble of staying in Port Pylos and the patrol team because he wanted to seize an opportunity to kill Lumian. Under the watchful eyes of the Tarot Club and Curly-Haired Baboons Research Society, finding a chance to eliminate a promising young man like him and escape unscathed can satisfy his twisted mind to the fullest extent.

Hisoka initially planned to bide his time, waiting for Lumian's patience to wear thin and an opportune moment to present itself. But it seems Lumian didn't seek the assistance of the demigods; he only reached out to Hela.[14]

If Lumian involve the Tarot Club, they'll undoubtedly seek Hisoka aid in Lumian's investigation. The Major Arcana card holders of the Tarot Club wouldn't personally intervene without a clear target due to the uncertain timeframe. They would likely dispatch a Minor Arcana card holder familiar with the Southern Continent or a faction member to assist. Under these circumstances, who better to meet the requirements than Twanaku Tupián, a Church of the Fool's temperance faction member from Matani, well-versed in the local situation, holding the appropriate official status, and reaching Sequence 6.

In that scenario, Lumian and Hisoka would investigate Hisoka. The other party would gradually grasp the situation, assess potential traps and their effectiveness. Hisoka could then seize the opportunity for a surprise attack, assault the mind, and trigger desires. Hisoka, informed by Loki, should have made preparations to deal with the dangerous creature within the seal, perhaps relying on the Nois family's Demon.

Unfortunately, Hisoka didn't grasp Lumian's personality and style well enough, nor did he comprehend Lumian's companions. He could only rely on the sea prayer ritual and Loki's first death as a guide. Consequently, there was a deviation, shattering his expectations despite a high likelihood of success.[10]

Each of Lumian's companions is weaker than Hisoka, and each of them is someone he thinks he can easily kill. However, as a team, through teamwork, they have put him in a tight spot, descending him into hell.[14]

A Second Death[]

Hisoka existed as a dream projection in the 1358 Dream Festival of Tizamo Town.

His goal is to obtain Naboredisley corpse and become its "spirit." Only then he can survive after the Dream Festival and maintain his consciousness and rationality as a demigod-level undead creature.

His plan failed and he had to be killed by Lumian Lee near Naboredisley's tomb.[1]
