Ian Wright is a fifteen or sixteen-year-old boy intelligence later turned black-market dealer. He was involved in a huge spy conspiracy conflict between Intis intelligence and MI9 over the third-generation difference machine manuscripts.[1]

He works now as a black-market arms dealer and intelligence peddler at Bravehearts Bar on Backlund Bridge.[2]

Appearance[]

He looked adolescent and had refined facial features. He inherited bright red eyes from his deceased father, according to Emlyn, he's probably a descendant of the Sanguines.[3]

For his career as a dealer, he dressed in an old overcoat, and brown bowler hat and deliberately stuck two whiskers above his mouth to make himself look older.

Personality[]

He is extremely mature and calm for his age, and very good at observation.

Ian displays traits of meticulousness and orderliness. His attention to detail suggests a possible tendency towards obsessive-compulsive disorder.[4]

History[]

Ian was one of the several vagrant children who were adopted by Detective Zreal Viktor Lee, a spy for the Feysac Empire. Zreal taught them how to gather intelligence because children have the advantage of often being ignored by others.

One day in 1349, Ian stumbled upon clues regarding a manuscript left by Turani von Helmosuin, the father of the second-generation difference machine. When Ian reported this to Detective Zreal, he was very happy and asked him to follow up on that lead while he immediately reported it to his superior. Ian managed to determine where the manuscript was, but he was afraid of the danger, so he didn’t steal it directly. Later, he decided to return to Detective Zreal, but he found his house was infiltrated while many of the tiny traps were not restored. The Zmanger gang also tried to capture him.[1]

Ian has entrusted Sherlock Moriarty with the case of the disappearance of Detective Zreal,[5] who turns out to be dead already on Iron Carbon Street.

Afterward, Ian was captured by MI9, who released him after he revealed all he knew. He also briefed Klein on the situation before heading to Pritz Harbor for two months, then back to Backlund. He works now as a black-market dealer, specializing in the illicit arms trade and intelligence gathering at Bravehearts Bar, with the support of Sharron and Maric. He replaced the deceased Kaspars Kalinin.[2]

In 1350, Emlyn White recruited Ian once to find information on related Primordial Moon believers.[6]

After Amon showed up to Backlund he met with Ian to seek info about The Fool's organization, he later told the encounter to Klein.[7]

Trivia[]

  • He is bad at drawing.[7]
