Isengard Stanton is a renowned detective and Beyonder of the White Tower Pathway in Backlund. He helps the police in investigating cases. He is currently a Sequence 7 Detective. Under the moniker "Eye of Wisdom", he runs a low-level Beyonder Gathering in a wooden house around the Bravehearts Bar along the Backlund Bridge for Low to Mid-Sequence Beyonders. Because of the high requirements to stably advance to Sequence 6, Isengard choose to be stuck at his current sequence for years.

Appearance

A middle-aged gentleman with white sideburns, he has a thin angular face and an outstanding temperament. He has blue eyes and a black pipe always sticking to his mouth ready to smoke. He dresses in a white shirt and black vest.

History

Isengard studied in Lenburg for four years. He also converted his faith to the God of Knowledge and Wisdom while studying abroad. After returning to Backlund, he gradually established a good relationship with the military, the Church of the Evernight Goddess, and the Church of the God of Steam and Machinery. Now he is a fake believer of the Evernight Goddess.

Xio Derecha and Fors Wall once hired him to analyze Qilangos' habits and actions to find his whereabouts. His agency was also his home.

Klein first met Isengard while he and Mike Joseph surveyed and investigated at the Golden Rose near the Backlund Bridge.

He was impressed by Sherlock Moriarty's deduction and reasoning abilities as a fellow detective. Suspecting him to be a Beyonder, he introduced him to some detective work and later the case of Jason Beria that terrorized Backlund.

On December 15, 1349, his detective agency was attacked, and while he managed to escape, his assistant from Lenburg was killed and mystically reanimated to affect the soon-to-visit Sherlock Moriarty.

He is later revealed to be the Eye of Wisdom, the organizer of a Beyonder Gathering in Backlund, who sold Klein the Sun Brooch. He organized a gathering to get everyone to help each other. To enter the gathering, one must regularly check the Backlund Morning Post. When an advertisement for the purchase of goods by the Ernst Firm appears on the fifth page, it signals a meeting at 8 PM the next evening. The knocking pattern at the meeting location is determined by the prices listed in the ad.

In Volume 4, after he returns from the sea, Klein as Sherlock asked Isengard to sell his shares in the Backlund Bike Company on his behalf. He also has a new assistant, one from either Masin or Lenburg.
