His known name is Jason Beria. On the outside, he was Patrick Jason, an optimistic middle-aged man, who was the principal shareholder of a small bank in Backlund,[1] before Earl Hall acquired it.[2] He always wore a human skin disguise when acting as Patrick Jason and had never shown his true face nor used his true name.[3]

In actuality, he was Patrick Jason Beria, recorded as Jason Beria. He was a member of the Beria Family, a Sequence 5 Desire Apostle of the Abyss Pathway, and a shadow-shifter type Devil.[4]

Appearance[]

As Patrick Jason Beria

He has high cheekbones, blue eyes with a tint of gray, and neatly combed hair.

True form

He has a medium height, with curly brown hair and cold brown eyes.

History[]

He was the master of the Devil Dog, the serial murderer who killed many woman at Backlund in Fall 1349. After the Devil dog got killed, he deliberately threatened the detectives involved in this case and conspired to injure the only three wild Beyonders within them.[5] When all of the official Beyonders in Backlund had been mobilized, and the High-Sequence Beyonders had shifted their attention to this matter - including the Cardinal Snake of the Church of the Lord of Storms - he took the opportunity to covertly act elsewhere, and successfully assassinated Duke Negan.

To succeed in an assassination near the Holy Wind Cathedral, he had another female Beyonder disguise with his provided human skin wrap and draw away Cardinal Snake, away from Cherwood Borough where Duke Negan secretly had a mistress. He also abandoned his Patrick Jason identity to leave the jurisdictions of the demigod.

He was supposed to obtain the Abyss Card of Blasphemy as a payment from the Twilight Hermit Order for this assassination.[6] But during his retreat, he was heavily injured by Leonard Mitchell using Sealed Artifact 1-42: Berserker’s Armor, before he was killed in a second fight with the Hero Bandit Black Emperor.
