When an outsider picks up that holy sword, God will walk the land again…

Kalat
on Lord of Mysteries, Chapter 538

Kalvetua was a gigantic sea serpent. It had obtained some Sequence 3 Beyonder remains of Queen of Calamity Cohinem, after he took over an elven ruin on Symeem Island, and called itself Sea God. It had plenty of native believers in the Rorsted Archipelago.

Honorific Name[]

“Blessed of the sea and spirit world;
Guardian of the Rorsted Archipelago;
Ruler of the Undersea Creatures;
Master of Tsunamis and Storms;
The Great Kalvetua.”

Appearance[]

Kalvetua was an unimaginably huge blue sea serpent. The scales all over its body were slippery, and they were covered with patterns that were similar to the symbols inside the ruins.

Background[]

Before the Rorsted Archipelago was completely colonized, the natives believed in Sea God Kalvetua. They believed that Kalvetua protects all the islands here, preventing them from being devoured by earthquakes or tsunamis.[2]

Now this belief has been outlawed as the Church of the Lord of Storms has been constantly fighting against the heretics, a bunch of people is captured every one to two months. Rumor said Kalvetua had been discovered by two powerful cardinals of the military a long time ago. After it was defeated by them through the use of a Sealed Artifact, it could only barely escape and hide. This situation has persisted for more than a hundred years.

However, there are still plenty of believers of the Sea God in Bayam, Blue Mountain Island, and the Rorsted Archipelago Sea. The Resistance, a group of people who clamor for independence and for natives to administer their local affairs, is the main pillar of support are the believers of the Sea God.

Powers[]

After obtaining some characteristics of the Queen of Calamity Cohinem, Kalvetua became a Sea King of the Tyrant Pathway. Being a Sequence 3, allowed him to:

  • Answer the prayers of his believers in the area of Rorsted Archipelago.
  • Provide enchantments for various items, such as allowing some of them to be Electric Shock charms, some allowing people to swim in the ocean like fish, some that allow a gale to blow... But their spirituality will gradually decline to nothing after three months.
  • Accept the offerings of its believers.

History[]

As the ancient elven ruin was invaded and the Book of Calamity was taken by Leticia Dolera and her company,[3] Kalvetua’s condition instantly deteriorates, barely surviving and on the verge of collapse. It prepared to possess another body through the bone sword. According to Klein, he didn't took one of his believer because he hoped to find someone with elvish blood, but when Klein came in contact with it, he changed its target for him but it was purified by The Gray Fog.[4]

After its spirit and connection were dispelled by the gray fog, it immediately turned mad. It's condition took a turn for the worse, making it only able to survive for a day or two. Due to this, it's determined to bring disaster toward Rorsted Archipelago and killed everyone here so they can die along with it.[5] Unfortunately, its power was suppressed by Jahn Kottman.[6]

After its death, some of its servants were compelled by the Law of Convergence to eat its flesh from its remains and the servants died, the Sea God Guards went Mad and an old priest turned into monster. Its leftover Beyonder characteristic fused with the snake tooth to leave behind a very powerful sealed artifact, Sea God Scepter. Now Klein used this Sea God Scepter to respond to believers, acting as the Sea God Kalvetua.[6]

I have returned.
