This article contains MAJOR SPOILERS relating to some of the most pivotal parts of the "Lord of Mysteries" and "Circle of Inevitability".

Lord of Mysteries is the title of the Great Old One of the Fool Symbol2 Fool, Error Symbol2 Error, and Door Symbol2 Door Pathways.

This Great Old One is one of The Three Pillars.[1]

Authorities & Symbolisms[]

"He" possesses full authority over the Fool, Error, and Door Pathways and corresponding symbols, which include but are not limited to the following:

  • Fool Symbol2 Fool: Authorities over Fooling, Change, and Miracles, and the Symbols of Change, Secrecy and Foolishness.
  • Error Symbol2 Error: Authorities over Errors, Time, and Theft, and the Symbols of Errors, Deceit and Destiny.
  • Door Symbol2 Door: Authorities over Doors, Position, and Space, and the Symbols of Doors, Space and Journey.

Derived from the above, "He" also possesses the following abilities/symbols:

  • Dominator of The Spirit World: The most important symbolism for the Lord of Mysteries is "His" symbolism as a Pillar. Possessing full control over the Spirit World.
    • "He" can Seal the Spirit World, severing others' connections and influence over it, ensuring that for a set period, no creature can enter the Spirit World without "His" permission. This renders all abilities, Authorities, and Symbols related to The Spirit World ineffective. [3]
  • Change: Control over Change is one of "His" core symbols. Thus, being able to slow, accelerate, halt, or introduce Errors into transformations.[4]
    • King of Space-Time: One of "His" core symbolisms is being the King of Space-Time which falls under Change[3]
      • Time: "He" can manipulate Time throughout the entire universe.
      • History: As the King of Space-Time, "He" holds the symbolism of History, and can make the Fog of History manifest in the Real World and affect it.[6] All things affected by Fog of History will either be Fooled, Deceived or Teleported.[5]
        • As a Lord of Mysteries, Mr. Fool's Fog of History spread throughout the World of Ruins, enveloping the entire planet and all living beings, it even spread beyond the barrier, into the boundless universe as well.[5]
          • Living beings within the fog either became dull-witted, filled with cunning, or inexplicably transported to the place they knew most intimately.
          • Numerous rules malfunctioned, and many symbols were Fooled.
        • Historical Projection Summoning: "He" is the ruler of History with "His" status, level, and strength, "He" can sustain Historical Projections for hundreds of years at least.[7]
      • Space: As the King of Space, "He" can manipulate Space in various ways, such as being able to manipulate distance to separate the battlefield.[9]
      • "He" can travel through Space-Time.
        • "He" can travel back to the past, but it is impossible for "Him" to change history completely.[11]
      • Due to the elevation of powers such as Parasitism, Marionettes, and Blink, "He" can manifest in countless forms, creating avatars with a unique and ubiquitous nature. He possesses the ability to fight multiple foes simultaneously.[3]
        • Spirit Body Threads Manipulation: "He" can instantly turn countless creatures—exceeding hundreds of billions—into Marionettes and manipulate them simultaneously.[12]
      • Such a symbolism makes "Him" able to counter symbolisms related to Space-Time and hinder freely traversing dimensions.[3]
  • Beacon of Destiny: "He" is the Beacon of Destiny the one who guides the River of Fate.
    • "He" can guide every tributary of the River of Fate to one direction, as though it alone represented the true path and the real future.[13]
    • "He" can enter the River of Fate, from the past, present, and future, and even make the flow of the River of Fate stagnate.[9]
  • Doors: "He" can Seal others by creating layers upon layers of Doors around them, every time a door broke, another appears in its place, covering the target and blocking the path of escape with countless layers of overlapping gates.[9]
  • Bizarreness: "He" holds the symbolism of Bizarreness.
    • One of its manifestations is Grafting.[13]
  • Foolishness: "He" holds the symbolism of Foolishness, the ability to turn every rational being into a Fool.[13]
    • Fooling: "He" could turn the true to false, and the false to true, with the distinction between true and false no longer clear.[14]
      • Abstract things could become substantial and be defined as pure concepts.
        • Klein Moretti made the cracks in the astral barrier become invisible and untouchable as if they no longer existed. Then "He" turned this falsehood into a truth, stabilizing the astral barrier.[12]
    • For beings that act on instinct, using the symbolism of Foolishness will not cause a noteworthy change, so it is better to use the symbolism of Deceit against such beings.[15]
  • Deceit: "He" is the symbol of Deceit, and wields the ability to Deceive, mislead and manipulate everything.
  • Miracles: By combining the Authority of Miracles with the Authorities of Error and Fooling to exploit loopholes and change definitions, "He" can know how to grant Wishes that cannot be achieved in the normal situation due to how the desired Wish is impossible or difficult. This is done by lowering the difficulty of the Wish.[16]
    • The granted Wish will not exactly match the true desired Miracle, but it will be fulfilled in a way that is lesser than the original intent. In other words, it's to grant a similar, less difficult Wish that can achieve a comparable temporary effect within the current situation.


Symbols of other Great Old Ones can counter some of "His" symbols and powers, which include but are not limited to the following:

  • High-Dimensional Overseer:
    • Dimensionality and Change in one-on-one scenario mutually counteracts each other. [3]
      • As a Lord of Dimensions "He" could counter abilities such as Parasitism, Marionettes, and Blink.[3]
        • From higher and lower dimensions, Spirit Body Threads were tangible and real-something that could be touched. Blink only allowed movement on a small scale, while those Parasitized were bound together into one entity. This rendered the unique, ubiquitous nature of the Lord of Mysteries' avatars ineffective.
  • Monarch of Decay:
    • Symbols of Decay and Certain Death counter parts of Change.
      • Decay can make the Decay of an afterimage equalled the Decay of the main body.
      • Certain Death of an avatar equalled the Certain Death of the main body.
  • Inextinguishable Ravings:
    • Symbols of Source of All Ravings counters parts of Change.
      • "He" can ignore the interference of marionettes, avatars, and afterimages to directly project "His" voice into Sefirot and Uniquenesses transmitting "His" madness and implanting "His" intent.

Mythical Creature Form[]

The Mythical Creature Form of The Lord of Mysteries is a glowing bluish-black door seemed to flicker in and out of existence within a massive dark vortex bristling with slick tentacles that every gust of wind, droplet of water, and ray of light in the vortex consisted of Worms of Spirit, Worms of Time, and Worms of Stars. The vortex is covered with a coat the inside of it is an abyss, seemingly infinite, as if it contained an entire universe and a Spirit World connected to every planet.[5]
