Ludwell was one of the 7 Pirate Admirals and a Sequence 5 Beyonder of the Death Pathway.

Appearance

He wears an exaggerated triangular hat with a white skull and embroidered white feathers, a white shirt with lace a gorgeous brown short coat, and a thin leather belt with white pants.

His face is covered with a silver-white mask. The holes around the eyes, nose, and mouth are so cold as to be daunting. The eyes behind the silver mask burned silently with two pale-white flames. He wears the silver mask to keep the creature in his body docile.

Behind the mask, his face lacked flesh; its skin clung tightly to his bones without any colors. It was as translucent as crystal.

History

He was once a subordinate of the King of the Five Seas. Later, he became independent and called himself ‘Admiral Hell’. Like other admirals who are backed by organizations, he is affiliated the Numinous Episcopate. He is aware of the progress of the Artificial Death Project. Ludwell possesses a ring left behind from the ancient era’s ‘Death’. His flagship was named the "Black Tulip". Just the bounty by Loen alone had reached 55,000 pounds, the highest of any of the pirate admirals, he was also the most senior of them. He has a creature from the Underworld living in his body which gives it a half-dead state and allows him to easily enter the Underworld without dying.

He prostrated and submitted immediately when Azik visited him with Klein since higher sequences of the Death Pathway can suppress those lower than them from the same pathway. He complied with the order of the Death Consul and let Klein turn him into his marionette for a year. The marionette was eventually taken over by an Evil Spirit Sauron-Einhorn-Medici.

• Death Ring: A black, square-shaped ring. It's a ring left by Death.
• Harris Rapier: A rapier. It originated from a prince from the Southern Continent in ancient times. It didn’t directly correspond to any Sequence or pathway, but possessed the power of absolute destruction of anything it stabbed, thanks to the various Beyonder characteristics it was forged with.
