Appearance[]

Lumian Lee (): A strapping lad in his late teens, with long limbs and chiseled features. He has short, jet-black hair and bright, blue eyes. He looks aesthetically pleasing.[27]

Lumina Lee (): A beautiful lady. She had a slim face, light blue eyes resembling clear and dreamy lakes up in the highlands, a perfectly shaped nose, and lips neither too thick nor too thin. Her features were striking and graceful, with a pecuilar sharpness that seemed to pierce through any defense of body and mind, straight to the soul, hitting its weakest spot.[28]

Yin-Yang Li Ming (&): His hair floated up, his face sometimes the stunning Lumina, sometimes the more handsome security guard Li Ming, his chest sometimes swelling, sometimes flattening, his aura sometimes feminine and seductive, sometimes masculine and violent.[29]

Post-Weather Warlock: This Weather Warlock had long blood red hair. Over two meters tall, bronze-skinned, his muscles were not only vivid and full of explosive strength, but also flowing in graceful lines, like the finest sculptural masterpiece. His features had become even more handsome and sharp, his pale blue eyes deepening slightly, the refined details softening some of the aggressive edge. After digesting the potion, he can change his height from 1.85 meters to 2.80 meters.

Giant Form: Initially born from the Eternal Aeon Pathway. Flesh on Lumian's left and right shoulders writhed as two illusory heads emerged. One head looked like a ten-year-old Lumian, covered in dirt, and his eyes filled with ruthlessness. The other, nearly thirty, with blood-red hair and iron-black eyes, looked violent and crazy. Behind him, six illusory arms sprouted from his ribs. His current form is a three-headed, six-armed giant.[30]

Dual-Pathway King of Angels: The middle head was Lumian’s own. The left head has three faces: One was identical to the Primordial Demoness - stunningly beautiful, pure, yet exuding maternal radiance. One resembled Alista Tudor but bore jet-black hair and a flawless, nearly divine beauty. One was a vortex of a liquid containing all colors and possibilities. The right head has two faces: One was the radiant Aurore, the other, the exquisite Jenna. Both had closed eyes, no consciousness, and bloodstained features.[31]

Dual-Pathway True God: Lumian's three heads rose slowly as his body re-formed. His right side was female, clad in a skeletal white dress, while his left was male, draped in a blood-red robe. The right head bore the purified faces of Aurore and Jenna—clean, brimming with spirituality, though their eyes remained shut, unable to speak or convey consciousness. The left head featured Cheek's face, now less maternal and more alluring, with a captivating smile and slightly parted lips. Tudor's face appeared sharper, with the blood-red flag mark on its forehead protruding slightly. The face of the chaotic vortex continued to absorb the Fire of Destruction, rotating faintly. Lumian's own head grew more handsome, his long hair the color of blood, his features exuding sharp masculinity. Beneath his left armpit and ribs, additional arms sprouted, holding a scorched, blood-stained banner. On his right, matching arms extended, pale as white jade but empty-handed. [32]

Calamity of Destruction: On both sides of Lumian's body, bulges began to form and writhe rapidly, each developing into a new body. These new bodies were connected to his original flesh, tightly adhered, and partially fused. On the right was a purely female figure clad in a sacred white robe, her hands milky and ethereal. Her head featured Aurore at the front and Jenna at the back, able to rotate freely in any direction, unrestrained by a neck. On the left was a half-male, half-female body, with a head composed of the Cheek's face, the chaotic vortex face, and Alista Tudor's face. It wielded a charred banner in its hands. In the center was Lumian himself, adorned with long, blood-red hair and iron-black eyes. A prominent design of a true dragon from the Western Continent was etched between his brows. Suppressing the madness and will of the Malevolent Dragon. [33]

Other identities

  • Ciel Dubois: His hair, now dyed blond and grown out, barely disguised his features. Dressed in a white shirt, black vest, and dark suit, his cold, indifferent expression made him appear years older.[34] Later, after swap his fate of being assaulted by the Montsouris ghost with fate being incinerated stored in Fallen Mercury, some of his hair had shortened, and becomes gold mingled with black.[35]
  • Louis Berry: A handsome man with black hair and green eyes in his twenties,[36][37] sporting a golden straw hat, white shirt, and black vest.[38] He wore the straw hat to enhance Louis Berry's persona and to shield himself from the sunlight, because an adverse effect of his contract for Shadow Transformation was a greater fear of sunlight than ordinary people. Although Lumian could endure relying on his Ascetic abilities, this would impact his condition to some extent. So he resolved it with a straw hat.[39]
  • Li Ming: An extremely handsome security guard working at Intis Corporation. He had lost some of its handsome aura compared to Lumian, but gained more beauty. When he smiled, it was like sunlight shining on his face. Franca calls this the beauty of Incubus. His face resembles that of an East Asian.

Personality[]

He's the most mischievous bloke in the whole village.

— Pierre Guilliaume
on Circle of Inevitability, Chapter 1

Lumian Lee exhibits a mischievous attitude. His words are often regarded as lies or satire by others. He is playful. He is also protective of his sister and feels a sense of responsibility towards her. He has no qualms about lying and deceiving others to achieve his goals. He inwardly criticizes others for even the smallest of flaws. His close friends think of him as knowledgeable. He is very decisive as he is always trying to utilize his resources as swiftly and efficiently as possible, though he prefers to rely on his own intelligence rather than on divination alone.

He can't stand exploiting others if it only causes them harm.

His favorite drink is absinthe. According to Jenna, those who enjoy absinthe either use it to pretend they are experienced or use it to reminisce about their experiences.[40]

Background[]

When he was young, his family had been well-off, but his father was a philanderer and later a gambling addict. His mother died from grief-induced illness, and his grandfather went bankrupt. They lived together in the slums until his grandfather's death a few years later.[41] Lumian became a tramp and orphan.

At the age of 12, Lumian met a dying old man and found a bluish-black symbol on the man's corpse. From that point on, he began having strange dreams and his luck took a turn for the worse.[42]

Five years before the start of the novel, Lumian met Aurore Lee, who was kind enough to give him some food. He decided to follow and help her with various tasks, and eventually, Aurore brought him back to Cordu Village and gave him a new name. They are inseparable and indistinguishable like real siblings.[27]

Lumian claims to have no memory of his name before Aurore gave him a new one.[27] In reality, he had lied to Ryan and the others, he simply wanted to avoid mentioning or remembering it.[41]

Mysterious Symbols[]

A symbol that looked like thorns, black as night seemed to grow from Lumian's heart and extend out of his body, connecting one after another like chains. Above these thorns were patterns resembling an eye and worm-like distorted lines, all bluish-black.[43]

The pattern resembling an eye and worm like distorted lines is not part of the Thorn Symbol but rather a seal placed on it by The Fool. Through this seal Lumian is able to trick the Thorn Symbol and the existence behind it in to bestowing him with the power of the Eternal Aeon Pathway.[44]

It is later revealed that the thorn symbol and the corruption sealed in Lumian's body is, in essence, the angel Termiboros under the Outer Deity Circle of Inevitability.[45]

Contracted Creatures[]

Since Lumian Lee became a Sequence 7 Contractee that has the ability to use special contracts to obtain different powers from various creatures such as spirits.

The messenger that belongs to Lumian Lee is named "Baynfel".

It was a tall, human-like being dressed in deep-black robes reminiscent of the Eternal Blazing Sun Church clergy. However, his exposed face and limbs bore the marks of prolonged incineration, leaving only bones and charred flesh. Empty eye sockets glowed with dark flames, while strange, viscous black flames lingered, causing perpetual pain to the spirit.

A creature wandering above the world,
The penitent who awakens from the flames of pain,
A messenger that belongs solely to Lumian Lee.

— Lumian's messenger summoning incantation[23]

  • His relationship with his Major Arcana is very relaxed. After Lumian became a Major Arcana, his relationship with his former Major Arcana did not change much except that he joked about her more often, although still secretly.[52][53][54]
