Malevolent Dragon to Lumian Lee
on Circle of Inevitability, Chapter 1152

The Malevolent Dragon is the consciousness of the City of Calamity.

Appearance[]

The colossal creature, the size of Trier, had three heads. On the left, connected to the black-scaled body, was a head resembling a camel's, with antelope-like horns, cow-like ears, and iron-black eyes. Crimson furcovered "Its" scalp. On the right extending from the white jade 'serpent body,' was the head of a human woman with black hair and brown eyes, breathtakingly beautiful, similar to Cheek. Or rather, Cheek resembled her. The central head, however, was a swirling amalgamation of liquid, encompassing all colours and possibilities. At its facial features—eyes, nose, ears, and mouth—holes had been drilled, one or two in each location. This central head separated the other two, preventing them from merging, and ensuring their independent existence. Below it, an invisible substance formed a neck, both supporting the head and anchoring it to the entwined serpentine bodies.[1]

History[]

In the First Epoch, the first Sefirah accommodated by the Primordial God Almighty was the City of Calamity. Beyond "His" deep desire for it, "He" likely foresaw its dangers. By intervening personally and using the chaotic head as a barrier, "He" prevented yin and yang from fully merging, halting their integration, and averting the birth of the Mirrored Original Creator.[1]

As a result, the Malevolent Dragon came into being as the will of the City of Calamity. After the Sefirah was sealed on the Western Continent, many top leaders in Daoism assisted in sealing "It" in the Dragon Lock Tower. Only by utilizing powers of other Sefirot and committing monstrous sacrifices over the epochs was this possible.

At the end of July 1360 in the Fifth Epoch, Lumian Lee arrived in the City of Calamity, ended the Malevolent Dragon, and became a Calamity of Destruction.[2]

At the end of Book 2, Lumian, Aurore, and Jenna's state has stabilized, and they had begun merging and confronting the Malevolent Dragon through the balance provided by the Circle of Inevitability. This is why the Malevolent Dragon didn't appear in the dream. Lumian, Aurore, and Jenna had become one entity—the former representing the masculine aspect, and the latter two the feminine.[3]
