Maric is a Beyonder of the Chained Pathway and was a former member of the Rose School of Thought.
Because of the conflict in philosophy, he escaped from the Rose School of Thought together with Sharron and settled in Backlund. Klein first met him when he sought to hire a bodyguard at the Bravehearts Bar.[1]
Later, he and the rest of the Temperance Faction have joined the Church of the Fool as followers of "His" Angel of the Holy Spirit.[2]
Appearance[]
He's about twenty-eight years old with a pale face and malicious brown eyes. He always wears a white shirt and black vest.
Due to the characteristics of its own sequence, it will have the urge to kill, so its eyes are always filled with a feeling of depression, and there seems to be a strong malice hidden in the eyes, and the appearance is slightly crazy.
Personality[]
As a Beyonder of the Chained Pathway, he believes in temperance and suppressing desires (opposite to the Rose School of Thought's belief). But he couldn't hide the strong malice that sometimes reflected in his eyes.

Lord of Mysteries (Book One)[]
Volume 2: Faceless[]
Klein as Sherlock Moriarty was involved in a conspiracy involving the Intis Republic and Ambassador Bakerland. He decided to buy a gun and hire a bodyguard to protect himself at Bravehearts Bar.[3] At first, Maric refused his request.[1] Later, he said that his friend, Sharron, had accepted his commission for the price of 1,000 pounds for 3 days.[4]
Afterward, Sharron and Maric asked Sherlock for his help to fight against members of the Rose School of Thought led by Steve. The payment was some of the spoils of war and the Book of Secrets.[5]
Volume 4: Undying[]
Klein, Sharron, and Maric work together to steal the Tutanssess II mummy from the Loen military and members of the Rose School of Thought.[6]
Volume 5: Red Priest[]
Maric was advance to Sequence 5, Wraith. He and Sharron cooperated with the Sanguines in hunting members of the Rose School of Thought in Backlund.[7] However, due to the unexpected interference of Zaratul, they couldn't find the target. The mission failed.[8]
Volume 6: Lightseeker[]
Maric along with other members of the Temperance Faction, cooperate with Emlyn White to hunt Klarman.[9][10]

Trivia[]
- He often plays cards with his controlled zombies.
- Klein once brought Azik's Copper Whistle to the Bravehearts Bar. The side effects of the copper whistle caused the zombies, who were playing cards with Maric, to come to life and break away from his control. As a result, Maric lost the card game.[12]
