The Master Key was a Grade 3, Sealed Artifact that used to be in Klein's possession, but has since been destroyed. It has abilities similar to the Sequence 9, Apprentice of the Door Pathway.
Appearance[]
A simple brass key.
History[]
When an Abraham Family member was seeking to become a Beyonder, he took the starting sequence potion for the Door Pathway. Unfortunately, due to his half-assed knowledge of mysticism and about the curse, he took the potion during the height of the crimson moon and then immediately lost control as a result of the Abraham family curse. The remnant Beyonder Characteristic was tainted and became the Master Key.[1]
Later on, a thief managed to steal the Master Key after he burgled the Abraham family member's house. At first, he thought that the key would correspond to a room or safe. He made several attempts and found that the key could open all doors. This was no doubt an unimaginable surprise for a thief. After that, he enjoyed numerous successes until one day, when he got lost due to the downside of the Master Key while trying to steal from a hospital, which resulted in him meeting Emlyn White. Knowing the key's extraordinary effects, Emlyn White snatched it from the thief.[2]
Bishop Utravsky acquired it after capturing Emlyn White who got lost due to the effect of the key and accidentally entered a Church of the Earth Mother.
Sometime later, Bishop Utravsky then gave it to Sherlock as a reward for helping him defeat his split personality.[3] Later, however, in a bid to stop the resurrection of the True Creator, Klein threw it into the altar, purifying it and causing it to be destroyed with the ritual.[4]
Power & Downside[]
Power[]
It can open any lock that doesn’t contain mystical powers, as well as a small number of locks that are augmented with Beyonder effects. And in a place without any locks or doors, it can open a passageway that doesn’t belong to reality. The premise is that there are no restrictions by Beyonder powers and the barriers aren’t too thick.
Its spirituality is completely restrained. When it’s not being used, Beyonders cannot see any difference between it and a normal key.
Downside[]
It causes users to get lost and often causes them to enter inappropriate situations. This can be counteracted with the use of divination.
Using it will create a connection to the ancestor of the Abraham Family, Mr. Door every full moon or blood moon.
