— A guard at Pritz Harbor on Lord of Mysteries, Chapter 490 |
The Pirates are people who conduct acts of piracy at the sea. Though not all of them are criminals, pirates are famous for robbery or criminal violence by ship.
Most of them are wandering in the south and east of the Rorsted Archipelago.[1] There is the Gargas Archipelago, located at the eastern front of the Sonia Sea, a region of the sea known as a pirate’s playground.[2]
In the pirate's world, a bounty is an important reference point that determined one’s status and standing.
Their are small to medium and large-sized pirate powers. The most powerful pirates are called the Pirate Admirals and the Pirate Kings. Some of them are supported by a powerful Churches or a powerful organization like the Numinous Episcopate, the Moses Ascetic Order, the Rose School of Thought, or the Demoness Sect.
Pirate captains are the captain of their own pirate ship or a ship belonging to a pirate admiral's fleet.
Many pirates are believers of the Lord of Storms, because of 'His" power over seas.[3] And the Lord of Storms has never given a revelation to exclude pirates from “His” followers.[4]
Characteristic[]
Most pirates don’t trust their fellow crew members. Betrayal and trickery are common among them. It's quite rare to be a relatively successful pirate who is able to live to the end.
Most Pirates have the habit of using vulgar language for descriptions.
They work in crews and rely on numbers when they boarding a ship. Also, most of the pirates do not use modern weapons but old weapons such as muskets.
In gathering information, pirates rely on their crews, who are on the land gathering information, or pirate informants people called rats.
Pirate Gathering are regularly organized, apart the Four Kings and the Seven Pirate Admirals, most pirates only received the news of the event a week before. Because of that most of them won’t be able to arrive in time but it prevent the navies of the different countries and the various Churches to launch an assault.
