The Resistance is a group of people who clamor for independence and for natives to administer their local affairs in Bayam, Rorsted Archipelago.

Their encampment is deep in the woods or at sea. They cooperate with many pirates and adventurers. The ones backing them are mainly people from the Feysac Empire and the Intis Republic. Often, there will be priests from the God of Combat and the Eternal Blazing Sun secretly coming over. They also received a support from the Church of the God of Knowledge and Wisdom. The former Resistance’s main pillar of support is the believers of the Sea God Kalvetua.

After Kalvetua's death, his identity and power were taken by Klein Moretti, who rebuild the organization, turning it into what will become a base for the Church of the Sea God.

History[]

Originally they worshiped the Sea God Kalvetua using living sacrifices. They believed that this deity who appears in the form of a gigantic sea serpent would protect all the islands here, preventing them from being devoured by earthquakes or tsunamis.[1]

When an outsider picks up that holy sword, God will walk the land again.

After Klein came in contact with the Resistance in Bayam, he accidentally got corrupted by Kalvetua that wanted to use his body as a new vessel. Later on, Klein managed to take over his identity and authority as the Sea God. Initially, Klein had no intention of becoming their god or taking over their problems, but he didn't have the heart to abandon them completely. Klein rebuilt their beliefs, and give the believers the Ten Commandments, the main core was to repeal the sacrifice and help people.[2]

Klein also managed the Resistance to building new roads, making it easier to access the city from hidden docks, schools, and other vital buildings that would help the natives. He later ordered the Resistance to attack the Loen Kingdom's supply ships, which made the governor-general's rule more difficult. He also managed them to work with Golden Dream Pirates through Danitz and nurtured the organization in preparation of spreading their good influence all across the Rorsted Archipelago.[3] Unfortunately, during the World War, those buildings were demolished.

During the World War in 1351, with Danitz as Sea God's Oracle helping, they made an agreement with the Church of the Lord of Storms and the Military of the Loen Kingdom. The agreement consisted of independence for the natives to administer their local affairs and the belief of the Church of the Sea God. In return, the Resistance would protect the interests of the Loen migrants in the Rorsted Archipelago from the invasion of the Feysac Empire, the Feynapotter Kingdom, and the Intis Republic. This will allow the Church of the Lord of Storms and military to return to Backlund where the war was more concentrated.

After the war, the Resistance was still in control of Bayam and the Archipelago. Furthermore, the Resistance allowed the Church of the Lord of Storms to stay in the Archipelago as there were also many believers of the church in Bayam. The Resistance, along with the Church of the the Lord of Storms (under Alger's words), also helped in the construction of new settlements, allowing the settlement of the inhabitants from the New City of Silver and New Moon City to the Rorsted Archipelago.
