Sonia Island was situated north-northwest of the Rorsted Archipelago. It is the largest island in the Sonia Sea, which was also the origin of its name. It was almost like a small continent.[2] An Island is an important strategic position for the Feysac Empire and the Loen Kingdom.[3]
Originally, it was the only remaining gathering place for the elves after the Cataclysm, but as time passed, this ancient Beyonder race was plagued by all sorts of factors and gradually died out. The occasional sighting of them proved that they hadn't completely gone extinct.[2]
At the end of the Fourth Epoch, the Loen Kingdom occupied this island, but in the Twenty Years War (Year 621-622), they suffered a terrible defeat, handing over Sonia Island and the crucial southern path to the Feysac Empire. That was already more than seven centuries ago.[2] In the Battle of the Violated Oath, Loen had won the war but had failed to regain this territory.[3]
During the World War, this island is one of three invasion routes of Feysac to attacking the coastal harbors, and attempting a landing.[4]
