Compared to the Northern Continent, the Southern Continent is less developed, inhabited by primitive tribes with a shamanistic belief system originally worship the Death.
History[]
In the Fourth Epoch, the Southern Continent was divided into the bountiful plains and primitive rainforests, under the dominion of the Underworld Emperor of the Balam Empire.
Following the downfall of the Underworld Emperor in the War of the Four Emperors, two primary nations emerged on the continent: the Highlands Kingdom and the Paz Kingdom.
By the onset of the Fifth Epoch, colonization efforts spearheaded by dominant powers from the Northern Continent led to the subjugation of the Paz Kingdom by the Intis Republic and Loen Kingdom, establishing colonial regimes on opposite sides of the Paz Valley. This colonization wave further fragmented the Southern Continent into East and West Balam, encompassing significant regions like the Star Highlands, Haagenti Plains, and Paz Valley. This era has been characterized by persistent internal conflicts as denizens from the Northern Continent aim to dominate the Southern Continent through enslavement and exploitation.
