In that case, I’ll begin teaching you the most common, easiest to grasp, and most useful ability in the future in mysticism. Spirit Vision!

Old Neil
on Lord of Mysteries, Chapter 32

Spirit Vision is an ability that most Beyonders can learn and allows the Beyonder to glimpse into non-physical parts of a human.[1]

When a Beyonder learns Spirit Vision, they can observe the auras exuded from Ether Body or Ether Body itself, which let them discover presence of any being that has a Spirit Body; from their intensity, brightness, and color, they can deduce the being's health.

Theoretically, as a Beyonder, as long as one’s spirituality was enhanced, things like Spirit Vision, divination, and ritualistic magic could be learned. But in fact, the differences between the various sequences was vastly obvious. For example Beyonders from the Sleepless Sequence are known for their high spirituality. But although Dunn Smith and Leonard Mitchell had learned Spirit Vision, they could only see faint white or light blue in the auras of others. They were unable to precisely differentiate the status of different body parts. Of course, they could definitely see spiritual things with Spirit Vision, but doing so wasn’t as effective as using their spiritual perception.[2]

That also led to a problem in which Beyonders at the Sleepless, Midnight Poet, and Nightmare Sequences didn’t enjoy activating their Spirit Vision.[2]

For Beyonders from Fool Pathway and Hermit Pathway, they can also see the aura exuded from Astral Projection, which lets them deduce a being's emotional state; the higher in Sequence they get, the better their Spirit Vision becomes and they can peer further into a soul as far as Astral Projection, which may let them achieve a transcendent form of divination.[1]

In addition, as a Beyonder gains more mysticism knowledge, they can discover more details with their improved Spirit Vision, such as providing insights into the lifespan of others. When Klein encountered the unknown blackish-green monster in Bansy Harbor, he also used Spirit Vision to derive a more efficient attack against the said monster.[3]
