Viscount Stratford was a Disciplinary Paladin and the royal guard captain of the Augustus royal family. He used to be Mason Dere's deputy in the royal guards.

Xio Derecha was requested by MI9 to observe his relationships.[2]
He was the person who ordered William Sikes to force Prince Edessak to commit suicide. After William Sikes was killed by Trissy,[3] he cooperated with Katarina Pelle patiently setting a trap for her. He acted like he loves Shermane as one of their plans. However, he failed to interrogate her as he was interrupted by Xio Derecha and Fors Wall.
In their interrogation, Xio learned the truth of the death of royal guard captain Mason Dere, her father who discovered the king’s secret eight years ago and tried informing the three Churches but he was executed on the spot. When Stratford was about to be forced to speak the king's secret, his body became a ball of fireworks.[4]
He held the Unshadowed Crucifix which was likely sent to Klein by Adam's arrangements.[5][6]
