Sequence 9: Shaman

New Abilities

• Territory Creation: Shamans are able to borrow power from the surrounding area's Spirituality to create Totems that performs various different kinds of mage crafts.
  • To create such a Territory, they must find a fixed area, set up a Totem and perform a fixed ritual. After those steps, they can communicate with the surrounding area's air, earth, water, trees, and creatures to borrow power from their spirituality to cast various spells.
  • They can change their Territory, but the process is complicated and takes around three days. In addition, after leaving their Territory, their power rapidly weakens, the further away they travel, the weaker their abilities become.
  • If a Shaman were to stay active and commit to daily activities inside their Territory at night, it would not affect their body's normal functions, only needing a nap during the day.
• Spirit Body Connection: Their Spirit Body can sense and initially connect with other worlds or higher dimensions, but it will cause their Soul to be noticed by monsters and become a target of their invasion.
  • Their Territory is a special space equivalent to their Spirit Body merging with the Spirit World. If such creatures invade reality through this space, it is equivalent to invading their Soul.
    • Once the invasion succeeds, their Soul and Spirit Body will be controlled by the invading monster, or in extreme situations, even replaced.

Sequence 8: Reporter

Reporters sometimes feel changes in personalities and begin to hate the world and dislike things that do not match or satisfy their imagination. They want to reform the world itself to suit their fantasy.

New Abilities

• True Sight: A Reporter's observation and investigation skills have been drastically enhanced, allowing them to analyze and observe reality in further detail, seeing things that ordinary people can't see.
  • This allows them to see the different scenes within a certain area, but it can't be maintained for too long. In addition, it allows them to see through Illusions and see the hidden things such as Spirit Body Threads.
  • They can perceive a multitude of scenes from various angles, things that normally would be out of their sight, or visible only from one angle.
• Enhanced Speed: They receive a great enhancement in their speed.

Strengthened Abilities

• Territory Creation: Even if their territory's shield is broken, they will no longer be affected.

Sequence 7: Painter

In some parallel aspects of the world, each painting held a semblance of reality. However, they remained two-dimensional, flat, and lacking in depth, incapable of significantly impacting the human realm or the Spirit World. The specialty of the Shaman Pathway is to amplify the limited, flat nature of these objects, opening a path for it to affect reality.

New Abilities

• Mystical Painting Creation: They gain the ability to create art and become natural Painters. Using their Spirituality, they can imbue their Paintings with various mystical effects.
  • The target must stare at the Painting for at least three seconds for the effect to trigger.
  • Their Painting is a type of Beyonder Weapon and will lose its powers over time.
    • It will last about two months when folded and three days when unfolded, at most.
  • Some examples of Paintings are:
    • A riot of vivid colors, weaving a surreal and mesmerizing scene, inducing confusion and vertigo to varying degrees. Prolonged exposure could even result in mental illness.
    • A triangular house with a grayish-blue hue, green trees and rain resembling mud, causing itching all over the body and an irresistible urge to scratch oneself.
    • A golden-red sun surrounded by a vibrant circle of colors, warming the surroundings near it and providing a simple Exorcism effect.
  • Painting Disguise: Painters can also use cosmetics on a face, their own or someone else's, rather than on a canvas and achieve an excellent disguise.

Strengthened Abilities

• True Sight: Painters can witness another reality, unveiling a painting's truest form while also perceiving the creator's most profound creative intentions regarding the painting they have made.
• Spiritual Intuition: They have a strong Spiritual Intuition.

Sequence 6: Literary Aficionado

Literature Aficionados are skilled in imagination.

New Abilities

• Fantasy Materialization: A Literacy Aficionado can manifest fantasies to reality, to a certain extent, through their drawings and paintings. They can manifest drawings of themselves, other Beyonders, and certain constructs.
  • These manifestations lack the full potency of their original counterparts. They only have a rudimentary part of their appearance, personalities, and abilities. In addition, their presence in the real world has typically a time limit.

Sequence 5: Pixie

New Abilities

• Painting World Creation: Pixies can create an incomplete world within a painting, surrounded by a formless barrier of deep, dark void.
  • One can access it by touching the painting.
  • Ethereal flying Servants, blurry figures emitting a faint glow, are used to guard the Painting World.
  • Their Painting World isn’t considered advanced and has many false, mechanical aspects to it.
    • Only one created by an Angel of the Shaman Pathway would truly be a complete world.
    • There is a fake Spirit World in it but it is not connected to the actual Spirit World.
      • In other words, one could only teleport within the painting world, and not leave it.
• Dimension Shifting: Pixies can enter a peculiar state, existing somewhere between the Spirit World and reality. They become untouchable, invisible and difficult to detect even with Spirit Vision.
  • They must exit this special state when interacting with the environment or attacking someone.
  • Unless they actively enter reality, some Saints might not even be able to attack them.
• Flight: They possess a pair of translucent dragonfly-like wings, which helps them hover in the air.

Strengthened Abilities

• True Sight: They can use their ethereal eyes to house a certain amount of their most complex creations, manifesting them in a fighting scenario without any delay.
• Fantasy Materialization: Pixies can manifest fantasies, like lightning bolt or a fictional character, by drawing on their body.
  • It bears some resemblance to the Spectator Pathway, but it's also fundamentally distinct. One derives its power primarily from the mind, while the other seems to harness the qualities and might of alternate dimensions or spaces to manifest entities

Sequence 4: Visitor (Dimensional Traveler)

New Abilities

• Dimensional Travel: They can travel to other Dimensions and points in space-time.
  • Through acquired deeper knowledge about Dimensions, a Visitor can exhibit abilities that can be wonderful or terrifying.
  • Hostel: A Dimensional Traveler can use their body to house different entity in a separate Dimension bringing them with the Dimensional Traveler, allowing them to summon those Visitors at any moment.

Sequence 3: String Player (Performer, Musician)

New Abilities

• String Manipulation: They begin to control Strings, by "playing" them, they can influence and alter reality.
  • The High-Dimensional Overseer plucked the Strings of the symbolic black hole and accretion disk from Lumian Lee's ascension to Calamity of Destruction, causing them to become thinner and smaller, losing their conceptual weight.

Strengthened Abilities

• Fantasy Materialization: String Player can use their painting or drawing of a target, to allow the power of said target to enter reality thus affecting it.
  • Sage created the Endless Cosmos Painting during the Project Vortex, allowing the power of two Outer Deities to enter reality and bypass the barrier of the Oldest One, thus affecting earth.

Sequence 2: Dimensional Shadow

They become a higher dimensional creature.

Authorities

• Dimensions: Dimensional Shadows are able to manipulate Dimensions, and can freely ascend and descend Dimensions.
  • High-Dimensional Overseer unfurling the illusory, coiled strings around Him and formed a painting that enveloped the Celestial Master and the Celestial Thearch's Projection, filled with Suns, Planets, and a variety of rules and principles.

Strengthened Abilities

• Painting World Creation: They're able to create a complete world with complete rules capable of allowing living beings to live inside it.

Mythical Creature Form

• "They" become a complete Mythical Creature, "Their" Mythical Creature Form is a Dimensional Shadow, a shadowy figure traversing different dimensions.

Sequence 1: Observer

Authorities

• Observation: "Their" way of Observation directly and critically affects the subsequent development and final outcome of the Observed object.

Strengthened Abilities

• True Sight: They can use their True Sight to see trough Deceit and Fooling and follow where a Teleported target will go.

Mythical Creature Form

• At this level, a Dimensional Shadow would have faint, unattainably high humanoid shapes.

Sequence 0: Sublunary Eye

Authorities

• Truth: "They" see everything in the world, and "They" perceive the changes of Fate.
  • When "They" see, the flowers bloom brilliantly; when "They" do not, the flowers and the heart fall silent together.

This sentence is from the teachings of Wang Yangming (王阳明), a prominent Chinese philosopher of the Ming dynasty and a key figure in the Neo-Confucian School of Mind (心学, xinxue). Wang Yangming's philosophy emphasizes the unity of knowledge and action (知行合一) and the idea that the mind is the root of all phenomena.

Original Sentence: 我不看花时，花与我心同寂。我看花时，花的颜色一时明白起来，便知此花不在我心之外。

Translation: "When I do not look at the flower, the flower and my mind are equally still. When I look at the flower, its colors suddenly become clear to me, and I realize that this flower is not outside my mind."

This illustrates Wang Yangming's central idea that the perception of the world is deeply interconnected with the mind. The flower’s "existence" in vivid form depends on the act of perceiving it. When the flower is not observed, it exists in a state of undifferentiated potential (寂, stillness), and its vividness only being when it is perceived.

Context:

1. Relation to Wang Yangming's Philosophy:

Wang Yangming advocates that the mind and the external world are not separate. The flower's "existence" as a distinct entity with clear colors arises only because the mind actively perceives it. This underscores the subjective nature of knowledge and the mind's central role in creating meaning in the world. The phrase also ties to the idea of "innate knowledge" (良知, liangzhi), where truth is perceived directly without needing external validation. For Wang, understanding the nature of the flower is an act of the mind.

2. Connection with Idealism:

This view aligns closely with philosophical idealism, particularly subjective idealism, which posits that reality as we experience it is shaped by our consciousness or perceptions. Wang’s statement can be likened to Berkeley's idealism ("to be is to be perceived" or esse est percipi). For both, the perception of an object imbues it with reality. Without the mind, the flower remains in a latent or indistinct state.

3. Connection to Quantum Physics:

In quantum mechanics, this sentence can be metaphorically connected to the observer effect:

In quantum physics, particles exist in a state of superposition (multiple potential states) until they are observed or measured. The act of observation collapses this superposition into a definite state.

Similarly, Wang's statement suggests that the "flower" (analogous to a quantum particle) exists in a latent or indistinct state ("同寂") until it is "measured" by the observer's mind, at which point its vividness and reality ("颜色一时明白起来") are actualized.

This analogy does not imply that Wang was discussing quantum mechanics but highlights a philosophical resonance between his ideas and modern physics, emphasizing the interplay between observer and observed.
