— The Fool to the Tarot Club on Lord of Mysteries, Chapter 1389 |
In 1352 of the Fifth Epoch, following The Fool's Gambit, The Fool Klein Moretti rose to become a Half-Lord of Mysteries. This resulted in the will of the previous Lord of Mysteries, the Celestial Worthy of Heaven and Earth for Blessings, further awakening within him.[1]
As a temporary measure to halt this process, the Evernight Goddess forcibly sent the awakening will of the Celestial Worthy in him, along with the majority of Klein's consciousness, into a state of eternal slumber using water from the River of Eternal Darkness.[1]
She then advised Klein to first completely control Sefirah Castle and pull the will of the Celestial Worthy into a state of eternal slumber. In the dream, Klein could resist and fuse with Him. The Evernight Goddess also claimed that even though she could bless him, the outcome of the battle would depend on Klein himself.[1]
Shortly after, taking Arrodes with him, Klein stepped through the door of light located deep inside Sefirah Castle and entered his slumber, beginning the battle to determine the next Lord of Mysteries.[2]
History[]
After Klein had become a King of Angels, he had given five coins tainted by Sefirah Castle's aura to various individuals.[3][4] These coins were later revealed to be mediums which allow the user to participate in The Fool's Dream.[5]
The initial holders of the lucky coins had entered The Fool's Dream and made quite a few attempts, but they were successively discovered by the Celestial Worthy's spirit, either kicked out of the dream or had their actions restricted, unable to do much. One of them, after being kicked out of the dream the first time, would be kicked out again within a minute of re-entering the dream, regardless of whether they disguised themselves or behaved. Eventually, following their guidance in spirituality,[6] the initial coin holders all transferred their coins to others during various instances.[5]
The Major Arcana of the Tarot Club also tried everything they could think of, from directly reminding The Fool's dream manifestation, Zhou Mingrui, of the existence of Beyonder powers to filming "The Great Pirate 3", a movie that fully depicted his incarnation's experiences in the hope of triggering his memory. None of it worked, and they were quickly expelled from the dream as a result.[7]
According to Pallez Zoroast, Sequence 1 Angels of the Lord of Mysteries group could feel the terrifying impact of The Fool and the Celestial Worthy's conflict. This forced "Him" continue parasitizing Leonard Mitchell and stay within the Church of the Evernight Goddess for some protection.[8]
In 1359, Audrey Hall sent the five new coin holders: Lumian Lee, Franca Roland, Jenna, Anthony Reid and Ludwig Phil into The Fool's Dream in an attempt to wake him up. Sending them off were Fors Wall, Leonard Mitchell, Reinette Tinekerr, Will Auceptin, Azik Eggers, Sharron, Maric and Susie.[9]
Aftermath[]
- The Fool achieves an initial state of awakening by using the identity of Gehrman Sparrow.[10]
- The awakening of The Fool from his dream is completed on the Monday, before 3pm.[10]
- Lumian Lee becomes a Major Arcana card holder of the Tarot Club, codenamed "The Chariot". Two of Cups, Seven of Cups, and Four of Swords will all transfer under "The Chariot" jurisdiction.[10]
- Sharron becomes a Major Arcana card holder, codenamed "Temperance".[10]
List of Characters[]
Most beings in The Fool's Dream are dream images, fakes resembling their original counterparts woven by the subconscious cognition of The Fool and the Celestial Worthy combined.[11][12]
Beings with special items or connections can enter the dream. Some do by projecting their real self onto their corresponding dream image, some by forming their own dream image.[13] Besides these, those who can enter dream are at least true gods.[14] The Outer Deities can also influence the dream.[15]
