The Unshadowed Crucifix was a grade 1 Sealed Artifact in the possession of the City of Silver after Derrick Berg purchased it with the Life's Cane. Its abilities resemble the Sun Pathway's Sequence 4 Unshadowed.

Appearance

It was a crucifix accessory covered in bronze, a bronze cross. There were a few sharp, jagged protrusions, looking as though it had once impaled someone.

Its style and characteristics were things that the various nations in the Fifth Epoch’s Northern Continent didn’t possess. It exuded ancient vibes.

Once activated, it will turned into a resplendent crucifix.

History

Based on the divination that Klein made, this item is one of the relics left behind by the Ancient Sun God. It is the second item known that contains a god blood within it after Mutated Sun Sacred Emblem.

It is initially an item owned by Viscount Stratford, the current Captain of Royal Guard and ex-deputy of Xio's father Mason Dere. It was carried by Viscount Stratford to deal with Trissy's plan against him, because of its inherent abilities to counter evils. After Fors and Xio defeated him, they sacrificed the Crucifix to Mr.Fool.

After his divination, Klein named it the Unshadowed Crucifix. From the divination, he also learned about the specific potion formula and advancement ritual of Sequence 4: Unshadowed, even learning about the Saint-level sequence names of the Sun and Hanged Man Pathways.

The Unshadowed Crucifix is used by Mr. Fool, with the assistance of Sefirah Castle, to extract Beyonder characteristics from fused Saint-level High-Sequences' characteristics or from Sealed Artifacts as mental pollution-free products for the Tarot Club members. It could also be rented.

For the City of Silver, Derrick Berg exchanged the Life's Cane for the Unshadowed Crucifix owned by Mr. Fool. Derrick lend the artifact to Alger to purge his excessive beyonder characteristic.

Later, Derrick Berg used this as main material for his advancement, thus destroying the sealed artifact.

Presumably, it should be noted that the Unshadowed Crucifix should have been owned by Adam. Adam gave this Crucifix to Viscount Stratford, and let it fell to the Tarot Club, so Klein Moretti can explore the Giant King's Court and find Sasrir.

This item held same abilities as Sequence 4 Unshadowed of the Sun Pathway.

By sacrificing some blood to the Unshadowed Crucifix, it will exude a bright light that purifies any evil influences.

It could cleanse powers of degeneration, corruption, corrosion, darkness, evil, ailments, and other domains, quickly causing them to dissipate until nothing was left. According to this principles, this mystical item could also clear the mental corruption of Beyonder characteristics. If user able to accurately grasp the estimated time, this Crucifix could be used to separate Beyonder characteristic.

In addition to purifying effects, this Beyonder item also has Demigod abilities in the field of 'Sun', such as 'Sun Flare'. Its negative effects, if applied well, could solve a number of problems. It can be used to retrieve the characteristics of Beyonders who failed to advance without dying or from those who lost control, helping people who have entered the world of Beyonder and want to get rid of the madness, returning to ordinary life.

Downside

Because of the powerful purification ability that Unshadowed Crucifix exudes, it cannot be held together with another Beyonder item or characteristic. Unless the user is able to directly suppress the Unshadowed Crucifix' aura, it will directly reject even the user's characteristics.

Wearing or holding Unshadowed Crucifix for more than an hour, make the user's sequence will be reduced by one level. More than three hours, non-Demigod Beyonders will become an ordinary person. More than six hours, even Saints at sequence 4 and 3 will lose his/her Beyonder capabilities. But it was almost ineffective against Angels because "They" had the ability to shatter Beyonder characteristics. "They" had extremely strong control over "Their" source of power.

People who hold the crucifix for extended periods of time will become Sun believers.
