Waite Chirmont is a Beyonder of the Twilight Giant Pathway. He is the current Chief of the Six-member Council Elder and one of the main pillars of support for the City of Silver. He is also the Lead Archbishop of the Church of the Fool. "He" became an Angel in the mid-1360 of the Fifth Epoch.
Appearance[]
A bald man who had a tattooed symbol on his head stood nearly 2.5 meters tall. He didn’t look a day over 45. But in fact, he was nearly 80. He wielded an iron-gray hammer, and on his back was a huge bow that was equally as massive as his body. He was like a miniaturized giant that walked out of an oil painting.[3][4]
As a Sequence 2 Glory, Waite was now exceptionally gigantic when compared to standing beside Derrick Berg. "He" had a dark-green sigil tattooed on his bald scalp.[5]
Equipment[]
- Iron-gray Hammer: Waite Chirmont didn’t dual wield like an orthodox Demon Hunter, but fought as two handed. His main weapon is this long hammer, while his other hand applies different concoctions for swift adaptable combat. When he needs to draw his bow, he would slam/place the long hammer in front of him before touching the bow on his back.[3][6]
- Dragon Slaying Bow: A huge bow that received its name from killing a dragon at the demigod level. Its length and huge size are as tall and large as Demon Hunter Waite. It is a Mystical Item without overly severe side effects. The duration drawing the bow allows the user to condense a solid lightning arrow.[3]
- Sometimes when he draws the bow, Waite infuses dawn into his arrows to increase their durability and penetration.[7]
- In a raid party, Waite conducts strafing around the main target: releasing short duration arrows to blind and long duration arrows to pierce with full wrathful strength. The maximum damage is limited to harming demigods.[8]
History[]
In 1350 of the Fifth Epoch, Waite assisted and cleared Hawick's tomb. He fought with a hammer and a bow in the raid.[8] He watched over Colin's advancement to Sequence 3 in the same year.[9] He later advanced to Sequence 3 five months after Colin Iliad. He could have an honorific name and receive the prayers of the other residents of the City of Silver within a certain range.[10]
In 1352, Waite became the new Chief of the Six-member Council Elder after Colin was killed in action.[2] Later in the New City of Silver, he assisted Derrick Berg to lock up the unsealed Gift of the Land when Mr. Door returned during Amon's Apotheosis Ritual.[11]
In late September 1359, Waite informed the librarians of the New City of Silver beforehand that a Blessed of Mr. Fool, even as a foreigner, was allowed to browse the Beyonder knowledge books of their library. This Blessed was Lumian Lee.[4]
By June 1360, when Derrick Berg advanced to Sequence 2 Lightseeker, Waite had long since digested the Silver Knight potion. However, he had yet to advance to an Angel as a Glory because the Proof of Glory had to be used to seal the Gift of the Land. His chance arrived when Lumian Lee exchanged the Calamity of Crimson for the Gift of the Land, freeing the Crown for inevitable destruction.[12]
Before the end of July 1360, Waite completed the advancement to Sequence 2 Glory. During the early stage of The Apocalypse, "He" partnered with Derrick to fight against the invading Outer Deities' Angels[5].
