“ | Fate is just one of the parts of the Seer pathway, and it’s not even its main focus. The pathway that truly represents fate is Monster! |

— Zaratul to Roselle on Lord of Mysteries, Chapter 237 |
Overview[]
Beyonders of this pathway are known for their high spirituality, their abilities to sense danger, foresee the future and are experts in divination. They become lucky but also attract calamities. They can control the luck and misfortune of others and their own to a certain extent.
At High-Sequences, they can bestow misfortunes, find the best possibilities within chaos, manipulate the fate of living beings, trap others in an endless loop of fated events, and avoid danger by restarting an encounter or through reincarnation, and manipulate probability. And they become an embodiment of luck and probability. Their authority represents the Possibility of one's fate and represents Chaos.[2]
The title of Above the Sequence of the Wheel of Fortune Pathway is Key of Light, and the corresponding Sefirah is the Key of Light. This Pathway is the only one among the Standard Pathways that does not have any neighboring Pathway.
Neighboring Pathways[]
Neighboring Pathways to the Wheel of Fortune Pathway include, but might not be limited to, the following:
- Pathways under the Circle of Inevitability:[3]
- Pathways under the Goddess of Fate:[3]
Though there is no other known pathways that directly neighbor Wheel of Fortune Pathway, some other pathways could first switch to either the Eternal Aeon Pathway or Dreamless Pathway, then switch again to the Wheel of Fortune Pathway. This is because the Wheel of Fortune Pathway is the most special, it's the chaotic nature of fate, and a bridge is needed to jump. Confirmed examples of these pathways include:[3]

The official symbol of the Wheel of Fortune Pathway.[5] The color is chrome-colored silver: mercury.
Corresponding Tarot Card[]

The corresponding tarot card of the Wheel of Fortune Pathway is Wheel of Fortune.[6][7]
Wheel of Fortune (X) is the number tenth of 22 Major Arcana. The Wheel of Fortune is generally an indicator of luck or destiny. A common aspect to most interpretations of this card within a reading is to introduce an element of change in the querent's life, such change being in station, position or fortune: such as the rich becoming poor, or the poor becoming rich.[8]
Corresponding Ingredients[]
Mythical Creature Form[]
Snake of Fate (Snake of Mercury, Giant Serpent)
A giant scaleless silver snake covered with dense patterns and symbols on its surface, the symbols being various wheels that are connected to each other. Its tail and head wheels were each halved, only if the giant silver snake could bite its own tail with its mouth, the wheel would be complete.[9] Each wheel is different and they represent different futures that might happen.[10] They have cold, bright red eyes.
Trivia[]
- Klein Moretti once made two guesses: The pathway that focuses on Fate is destined to be lonely and its Beyonders don't wear many Mystical Items. Even if they do, they will wear one or two rather low-level ones. This is likely a requirement of Fate.[11]
- According to Will Auceptin, for Beyonders of the Fate pathway, the exacted price needs to be paid first before awaiting the bestowment of Fate and not the other way around.[12]
- According to the author, one does not simply walk the pathway of the Wheel of Fortune, unless they have good luck.[13]
